      Woah

Last night I had the first lucid dream of my life. I wasn't expecting it, seeing as I was a bit skeptical that it was even possible to have one.

Well anyway, the dream itself was pretty long. It started where I was a soldier during WWII. After being captured, I was sent to a German POW camp, which apparently was my school, just surrounded by barbwire fences and the sky was a greyish brown. Prisoners were marching around the camp, and vultures were circling the sky. Basically a stereotypical hell on earth thing. I was placed inside of the school, in a hallway. Lined against the hallway were prisoners, most of which had gone insane and were just staring blankly and babling incoherently. Well, trying to make the best of things, I leaned against the wall and stared out the window. Suddenly, I knew I was dreaming. I don't know how I knew, but I did, which is odd, seeing as I've had much more bizarre dreams than this. Then, the world became so crystal clear, my vision was dead sharp and I could make out the smallest details of the dreamworld. But I also didn't get overly excited, it was like I was expecting it. I knew from reading accounts of first lucid dreams that they often ended fast, so I decided to at least do something. I wanted to change the way I looked. So I closed my eyes and told myself that when I open them, I would look different. But while my eyes where closed, someone in the hallway said, "you're doing it wrong." Well, I opened my eyes and looked at my reflection in the window. They were right, I looked deformed. Just then, I looked down the hallway and saw a girl, it was so vivid it seemed more real than life. Then, I woke up.

It was a cool experience to say the least.
