      Almost personal

Wasn't certain where to post this, but figured it was relatively interesting anyways.

I've been a natural lucid dreamer for as long as I can remember (just lucky), but my little sister hasn't, and has been plagued with nightmares for ages. I've chatted to her before about gaining control over her dreams, but she's not had any luck up to this point.

By her account, she was in a dream that appeared to be becoming a nightmare. She was aware that it was just a nightmare and wanted to escape the situation by flying away, but couldn't control her dream, until I appeared in her dream. She figured, "Well, I can't control my dreams, but my brother can." She proceeded to control the rest of her dream by asking "me" to do it, confident in the knowledge that though she may not be able to do it, that I would be able to.

perhaps that is TOTALLY FREAKIN AWESOME lol.. sorry.. that seems interesting.

you should have her keep a log of when it happens, to see if there is a pattern, maybe if she catches up to a pattern, she will be able to overcome her nightmares alone...

      Just a thought.

OH, that is so cool! I am assuming it was just a DC, the "you"?

THIS is a new one! Never heard a story quite like this...that I recall .
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Will do -- I'll check up with her. I don't think her dream recall is particularly good at the moment, though I suppose logging it would help with that too.

Yeah, definitely -- I think "I" was just part of the story up till that point. So far's I remember, she was aware that she was dreaming, she just had no control, hence why she used me for control.

      Fairly neat all round

      Thats pretty awesome.

I've always wondered what improved dream recall would do for someone who gets night terrors. Is that like one of those "it gets better before it gets worse" situations?
