I'm like: "Sick I'm dreaming... Now how will I get out of this shit*..."

      * My LDs usually occur after a nightmare. Ex: last night some guy was strangling me so I did a nose RC, BANG Lucid! Unfortunately I couldn't even move my hands to give the guy a hug/beat him up, and I wasn't thinking straight so I couldn't blow myself up (I've done it before) or dematerialize. So I just woke myself up... Into another dream that ended after about 20 seconds.

Usually, I'm like "I'm dreaming", or "oh, so this is a dream". Then, just go about things. I used to get MORE excited- but not too excited to where that was the end of the LD.

I can report what will happen in my next LD tomorrow (yes, I'm just that confident, I just had a 3 LD's this morning, the morning before that, and before that).
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

I'm usually pretty calm, I'm just like "Oh, I'm lucid, I better do as much as possible before time runs out."

When I become lucid, I usually realize that 1) my dream sucks; 2) I've fallen asleep while doing homework and I need to finish it; 3) I need to wake up for school or something. At this point, I employ a number of techniques to induce waking.

If none of the three conditions above apply, then I just roll with the dream plot and try to spice it up a little. That, or immediately start flying.
Somehow the moment seems so windowless
I cannot see tomorrow through its panes
And yet I cling with simple childlike faith
To my belief that warmth can never die

Lately, whenever I become fully lucid, I immediately concentrate on whatever I've programmed myself to do (yay, mantras!). My current goal is to reach the moon and actually have a chance to wander around there, so after taking in the scenery and marvelling at the detail, I immediately attempt to open a portal. In the last couple of months I haven't been able to sustain lucid dreams for a long period of time, though.

I find myself in a semi-lucid state more often, though. I'm partially aware that I'm dreaming and able to exert control over the dream (includes superpowers), and I'm completely aware that nothing can hurt me. Most of my falling dreams are semi-lucid (I hit the ground and get up again). In this state, I let the current dream play out and usually slip back into non-lucid dreams at some point.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

I usually yell or tell a dream character that "I'm in a dream!!!" and yeah, try to do a load of cool stuff. One time (in a dream) this guy broke into my house and wouldn't go, then i did a reality check and realised i was dreaming. So I grabbed him and said "this is MY dream so you listen to ME!" and he did, i felt so kick ass XD

To be honest I thought I would always get over-excited and basically wake myself up, or become REALLY carried away with the concept I was in a dream, or find it difficult to accept. My first time though, it was almost like a "Hey, I'm dreaming. Cool, never had one." and then I walked off. This might have to do with my likely fairly low level of lucidity, but the dream continued for awhile. I just accepted it. I still thought it was awesome, but somehow experienced the feeling while suppressing it from my conscious mind which would cause me to awaken.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

My second lucid dream lasted not long at all, and the first thing I did was logical, but probably not smart. I started yelling "Increase Lucidity" and rubbing surfaces, almost unnecessarily, which seemed to jolt me out of it. Still, I felt a sense of...peace and accomplishment, or so.

Last night I had one. In the dream I asked myself if it could really be considered a lucid dream since I'm not controlling the events, but I can still recognise that I'm dreaming and ask myself that questions. Then I told myself to remember the dream so I can post it here.

      It worked.

      It depends.
Usually it's like "great it's a dream!". From time to time it's more like "What!? Is it all a dream?? And I was taking care about this?"-then I get a little bit pissed off because of the time I lost thinking I was awake and didn't realize. Sometimes I got something like "Of course, it's a dream!". And a couple of times it was like "Thank goodness it was just a dream!"

I just get up and fly, once I realize I'm dreaming. I think to myself "What do I want to do the most that I can't do in real life?" as I fly.

I usually start off by flying. then I tend to go over what was on my to do list. All of my lucids have been quite short though so I haven't be able to do that much. Occasionally I try to increase the clarity of my surroundings, but that sometimes opens itself to a whole load of distractions which can make me lose lucidity.

My first lucid dream for some reason I felt no excitement at all because I knew I had a hard day tomorrow, not I'm either angry and excited (???) or I'll shrug it off
"For a long time it gave me nightmares, having to witness an injustice like that. It was a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be, I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!'... How come they just couldn't give him some cereal?"

Honestly, almost always it's something like:

      *realizes that it's a dream*

      Yeah, baby!

      Thumbs up

I very rarely have lucid dreams as I didn't actually start actively trying to achieve them until very recently, but I had my first lucid dream five or six years ago. The dream was extremely negative and starting to freak me out. At one point, the dream seemed to pause and I was given a chance to really look at someone's face... and the person was a fictional character! Once I had processed that this was a fictional character and I was in a dream, I... well, I was pretty calm about it and really just kind of steered the dream into an ending that wasn't terrifying.
