Meeting With The Dream Master Part 1 and 2

Ok this was the first dream I had of near back to back experiences where I think I might have finally met a dream master. This dream is quite long and I left out the unessential parts. I just want other's input on whether or not they've experienced anything like this and if this might have been a possible dream initiation I had to pass in order to see the master.

This dream was quite long so here begins with the intersting part. I found myself in a kitchen like setting and I interacted with a woman and I asked if she could lead me to my dream guide. She led me to this room where there was this lady standing in the back of the room. The room was brightly lit as if by sunshine and the lady was middled aged with short curly brown hair and I believe she was wearing a yellow shirt. She said Hi and I started to make my way towards her.

However blocking my way were two dogs, one was docile and lying quietly on the floor and the other was an ugly looking mean dog that started to snarl and snap as I approached. This seemed to surprise the lady and she looked at me as though she didnt trust me because the dog didn't like me. I assumed that this was some kind of test so I continued to approach the dog and reached down to pet it. The dog then became as playful as a puppy and I played with him for a few seconds. Then I wen to interact with the woman and she was already starting to walk away. In fact I don't recall any interaction with her and found myself in an outdoor scene in the woods.

It was a bright, sunny day and I noticed what appeared to be an old shack entangled and built into a tree. There didn't seem to be any real organized structure and it appeared to be boards haphazardly strewn throughout the tree. There was a dirt path leading up to the shack and it was as if the shack and the dirt trail were both in the tree. The thought occured to me that this might be some place a dream master might live.

I started to walk up the path calling out 'master', "master" as I walked. Then I noticed this tiny ant starting to crawl out of the shack and down the path. I kept calling out "master I'm here to see you", or something like that. All the while I was assuming this ant was the master. The ant stops before me and near as I can tell I got down on my knees in a posture of reverence and respect. I went to put my hands together in a prayer position and I noticed that I had two stones in my hands. They looked like big boji stones with bits of reflective stones or crystals in them that turned into different shades of blues and purples in response to light. I put the stones together in my hands in prayer position and bowed to the ant in respect and said "Master I am ready to learn".

Right at that moment an older gentleman began to walk up the path from the opposite direction of the ant. I stood up and as he approached I gave him a hug and maybe even a kiss. He said, "It's been a long time." I say, "Yes it has". I told him that I was ready to learn. We sat down at a table and I remember that there was another person there. I don't remember what they looked like and for all intensive purposes it could have been me. They didn't interact with the master or myself. Rather they were there observing. I told the master something like this, "I have many questions for you but I promised a friend who I am doing research with that I'd ask you this question". I then asked, "How does the body interface with the soul?" He started to answer with some nonsensical words and shortly after I woke up.

I got the impression that the master would only answer questions pertaining to what I needed and wanted to know or learn and would only spend time with me in that fashion. Other people's questions would not be answered. I also got the impression that I needed to come up with some very good questions or he wouldn't interact with me.

Ok this was the second dream where I met a Dream Master but it's not like the other one. The two dream masters could have been similar in appearance but I'm not sure. This one is also more mystical it seems. It is kind of long as well.

I entered the dream by flying up a brick lined tunnel at a fast rate of speed. There was no void. The tunnel narrowed at the top and there was no exit other than to go through the wall. I cannot immediately remember what kind of dreamscape I came into but it seemed to be palace like. I also don't remember exactly how we met but I met this tall, skinny man in his late 20's or early 30's. He had on light colored clothing.

I told him that I was looking for a dream master and I asked where I could find one. He told me to follow him but I had the impression that he wasn't going to lead me directly there at first. I asked him his name and he told me that they really didn't have names but he gave me some name that was a mixture of letters and numbers "45BB" or something like that. He also called me by another name, "stacy" I believe. I told him that my name was Tracy and he said "Oh your Tracy, in that case follow me then. He thought I was someone else and wasn't going to take me to the dream master.

We started walking down this marble path and up some marble stairs. On the way I was telling him that I was only here in a lucid dream and that I had to concentrate on not waking up. He just looked at me and smiled and didn't say much of anything. The master's room was brightly lit and everything including myself had a bright goldish hue. I felt my lucidity fading and I told my guide that I was about to wake up and that I needed to regain lucidity. It was as if someone pressed pause on a video because I could see the scene, yet it was as if a thin veil was between me and the scene. By concentrating on the scene and not moving I was able to go back and start where I left off.

I told my guide that I was back but that I needed to do a few things to anchor my lucidity. I kept looking at my hands and reminding myself that I was in a dream. I began marveling at the fact that I managed to regain lucidity and expressed that to the guide. I also noticed that I must have had on a white robe or light white loose clothing because when I looked at my hands I noticed my arms had sleeves like you might see with a robe. After I anchored my lucidity I noticed an overweight middle aged man sitting in a lotus position in a chair. He had on white clothing and I was told that he was the master.

I asked him if he were my spirit guide or just a dream guide and he told me that he was a dream guide. I asked for his name and he gave me a name with a mixture of letters and numbers as well. His was "425B" or something. I told him that I was there in a lucid dream and I asked him how I might get my dreams to be more spiritually significant. He never answered but instantly the dream scene changed and we were sitting on the ground outside on a hill overlooking a city. It seemed to be dusk or early evening. The dream master said, "We will be joined by two others, a white woman and a black woman."

As soon as he said that a black woman and a white woman started walking up the hill. They took a seat to the dream master's left. To the right of the dream master was the guide and then myself. Some conversation about lucid dreaming began between the guide, the dream master, and myself. The other two women were not interacting at all with my experience. It was as if they were there on their own. I can't remember what question I asked but the response I received from the guide was, "You are a hidden rider, you jump from star system to star system and we don't see you."

Then he said something about Woodstock that I thought was strange. Something about that happening frequently at woodstock. Unless I got reincarnated quickly I don't think I was at woodstock, lol! I then ask some other question about lucid dreaming and the dream master says something like, "You are gifted and better than most". Then I woke up.

Any thoughts, ideas, or comments. Any similarities between the first?

Before I read this, could you please add some paragraphs so it's not just one huge unreadable block of text?

It's interesting. I too have trouble remembering conversations. Like you said it was a long dream. That might be why the details were harder to remember. Maybe it's meant to be that way on your first visit. A sort of stepping stone, leading into greater things. There is no reason to expect that your first visit you would be given some secret to life or vast mystical understandings and knowledge, which seems to be a typical assumption. Sounds very legit and that's how I would expect it to happen the first few times. I've personally never had a conversation with a dreamguide. I think I've seen her (yes I think mine is a lady) and I think she takes on more than one form.

I think you might be right. I think those two experiences might have been some sort of intiations to see how I would respond. I have had a couple experiences since then where I was actively seeking out my dream guide. I would go up to every dream character I met asking them if they knew where my dream guide was, lol. Of course none of them did but I ran across one man who bore some resemblance to the dream guide I met and he said "If you have to ask you don't know where to look." At the time I just brushed off the comment and moved on.

Then a couple days later I had another dream where I was endlessly searching for my dream guide but this time I was being shown different scenerios that were eluding to the fact that I was searching outside myself for answers. When I realized that none of those scenerios would lead me to where I wanted to go, suddenly I found myself in a room that resembled a lobby of a hotel. I saw the clear doors and the beautiful day outside and I flew right out of the doors as if I were flying to freedom. It wasn't until then that I realized the full impact of the statement the dream master said to me.

I've experienced places of learning in my dreams and met guides as well, but not quite in the same way as you have. I don't remember conversations or asking around for a guide. In my dreams there is a bigger emphasis on motion and the sensation of "going" somewhere - I end up getting where I was going, even if I didn't know where it was when I first set out. lol
I think the problem remembering conversation stems from the interface between the body and the soul. If you think about it, you can only access the dream guide and the dream guide's wisdom from a very deep state in your subconscious mind. Some messages back there cannot be interpreted by the conscious. But just because you cannot consciously "think" about it, doesn't mean it isn't affecting you somehow in your waking life.
All the things that happen in your dreams are very symbolic, so it may not be the words that you needed to learn the lesson your master was trying to teach. Settings, characters, and creatures all symbolically point out the message as well.

Tracy, I think you should be mindful of your assumptions going into these experiences. You seem to be ascribing a lot of significance and agency to your dreams and dream characters. In my experience, whatever you expect to happen in lucid dreams is what happens in lucid dreams. There aren't any 'initiation rights', there is no such thing as a 'dream guide' or 'spirit guide', and there is probably no deeper meaning to your dreams. These are all notions that you have latched onto, presumably from reading other people's stories of their dreams, and so have made self-fulfilling prophecies of. You expect your 'dream guide' character to say something wise and mystical, so you get some convoluted vagaries. You expect tests, so you interpret random situations as tests.

That being said, there's really no way to provide evidence of this to you. I just think you should be more aware of the possibility that most, if not all, of your dream content is meaningless nonsense and not 'just too deep for you to understand.'

I have had these experiences long before I even knew what lucid dreaming was and what was even happening to me. I have experienced over 200 lucid dreams in the past three years and have recorded all of them. It wasn't until the last few months that I have found lucid dream forums to post about my experiences or to read others. I have an open mind to lucid dreaming. For me my lucid dreams have a mind of their own. My expectations do not come into fruition in my dreams. I am lucid but yet I cannot for instance "go to the moon" at will. Also many of my dream characters seem to have a mind of their own and separate personalities. I cannot exert my will over them any more than I can exert my will over a living person. If they were truly a creation of my mind then I should be able to make them bend to my will and do what I want them to do. Most of the time they flat out refuse to do what I ask them to do, lol. As far as dream guides, I have had some pretty mind blowing experiences that cannot be adequately explained only experienced. Until someone experiences one, they will not understand. Just as you asked me to keep and open mind and consider that dreams are nothing more than junk, I ask you to keep an open mind to the fact that there could be more to dreaming than meets the eye. :-)
