WILD by accident...
Well, last night, I tried to WILD for the sixth time. I woke up 7.30, and I intended to focus my mind and all that stuff. But as the previews nights, I couldnīt fall asleep so after some time, I gave up.
I had pretty normal dreams the (I think they were 2 of them), when the second finished, a computerlike window appeard and said: "Sleep cycle finished, initiating new cycle" and a little green bar that sowed the progress. And when the bar filled, I was in sleep paralisis and "hearing" how a mob was destroying my room.
At first I wasnīt lucid enough to figure so I paniced and when I realiced what it really was it was too late, I was already waking up.
I have some questions now: Is this common (I mean that your mind tells you, that you are going to have a SP)? Can it be induced so you can WILD with no effort? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I've never had a progress bar telling me anything =P.
However, I've seen and heard different things while doing WILD. Falling asleep, or WILDing is the only way I know of to induce sleep paralysis, it is just a stage your body goes through.
Have you looked into any relaxation techniquest such as the 61 point technique to quicken the transition?

Not really, where can I find it|

I think I had my first WILD spontaneously too. I just become aware when I started to feel vibrations, and soon I got into LD. Anyway, according to what I've heard, it's somewhat common to have a WILD spontaneously. I haven't heard about anything like your 'status bar' before though.

My first (and only) sleep paralysis experiences happened many years ago way before I knew lucid dreams even existed. It's usually a scary experience and at the time I just assumed it was a bad dream (but I knew something was different about those experienses).
You can imagine how aggrivating it is now, actually trying to get to that stage again knowing that SP is the bridge to lucid dreaming - and not being able to at will!
CHE, PEZ! You IN Buenos Aires? I used to live there! 8)
I've heard that one way to get to WILD is to have caffeine and then try to take a nap-- I've been trying to do that with MATE, but it just keeps me up. You might want to try that, though. Mate supposedly has a compound similar to caffeine, but not really caffeine.
