Ah! First intentional lucid dream with an RC!

So last night I had my first intentional lucid dream with a reality check. I went to bed trying to WILD because I've been attempting that for a while now, and I'm sure I fell asleep, but then me dream starting fading in. It was in third person from the side of me and I was walking between two towns (one that I live in and the other ten miles away) and I was walking and said to myself "Hey, I've been walking now for a few hours, but I'm going to do a reality check for the hell of it." This was the first time I had done a reality check in a dream.
I pinched my nose and I started breathing! My first thought was, "Holy shit, I'm dreaming!" I started walking a forward because I heard some loud music. I soon found a house with all the lights off and I started to walk into their yard when everything started getting blurry, so I touched the ground and everything went back to normal. As I got closer I started to get scared because I heard these redneck'ish people starting to yell so I started running back to the road. I thought, "I know this is a dream and I could control it, but that was scary as hell." As I walked down the road again a car passed by and I tried controlling it to make it come back for me and it worked! I asked for a ride and got in the car and the driver was one of my peers from school. He said he was going the the high school graduation and I said oh alright. So we went to the next town and started to pay to get in, and that's when I woke up. I had a few other dreams after that, but they were non-lucid.

Congratulations man. That is a big step forward.

I have a question though. When you said you touched the ground when it was getting blurry. Does touching the ground stabilize your dream too?

Well I've been studying lucid dreams for a while (although I hadn't had a lucid dream since I learned about it until now) and over the time I was reading about it I learned that you can use pretty much any sense that you have ie. taste, touch, smell, etc. to stabilize it. And I wanted to act fast so I didn't lose it so I just touched the ground and rubbed my hand in the dirt.
