killing your friends

this was one of those dreams where, although its extremely vivid, you never remember to ask if its a dream, and think its real until you wake up...anyway, me and every single person i could think of that i could consider a friend (not acquaintance) were in some sort of cave...the cave had no ways out, and was relatively small, although there was light (didnt think about that at the time tho lol)...anyway it was partially filled with water to the point that we all had to swim, and for some reason nobody ever even tried to dive underwater...we were all carrying harpoon guns...anyway there were stalagmites (stalagtites? meh) all over the place, that were in the shape of arcade machines...anyway i geuss we were hunting this wierd shark squid thingy, which appeared shortly after the dream began...well after about 3 minutes of fighting this massive monster thingy, it was prettymuch certain that it was invincible, and for some reason we all turned on each other...i climbed to the top of the tallest stalagtite thingy, and shot harpoons down from their...after what seemed like only a few seconds, everyone was dead except me and my best friend...he noticed where i had been hiding, and shot his last harpoon at me, which missed. I had already run out of harpoons so i pulled his out of the rock it had been shot into and loaded it into my gun...by this time my friend had managed to procure a knife and had just climbed to the top of the rock i was, and was pulling himself up, he looked up, and i shot him in the stomach...he looked at me a few seconds in disbelief, while i rush towards him, grabbed his knife from his hand (he was in shock i geuss) and stabbed him in the neck...he fell off the rock, and when he hit the water i heard a huge splash and simultaneuosly woke up...i could still feel and remember the last few events very well since the dream was so vivid...almost made me sick...i can still see my friend's look of disbelief in my mind after i shot him *shiver* :shock: btw, i do know that this dream isnt about a feeling of backstabbing or guilt or anything like that...i think it was more of a competitive thing but i 'unno

Death and murder/killing isn't always about guilt, or even actual death. A lot of times, the symbol of death can mean the end of something--a phase in your life, an idea that you no longer hold onto, or the need for some kind of change. It's always hard to interpret things like this because it's different for everyone. Anyway, it was an interesting read. I hope you're ok? I'd have been shaken up too.

oh im fine...i often have dreams about killing ppl...never quite have gotten a grasp as to what it means for me...i'unno...in my dreams i think ive killed everybody ive ever met at least once i think...tho i dont think ive ever killed ppl i dont know...like nameless dream ppl :whyme:

Ive killed good friends in a dream, i dont think it really means anything that severe.

Everytime I've killed or tried to kill anyone in a dream, for some reason it always has to be the most gruesome method of killing them.

Im never given a gun or anything, I've had to break peoples necks with my barehands or by hacking there heads off with something that can't do the job properly.

I hate these dreams and it feels like my morals are being violated.

Does anyone else have to do this when they kill people in dreams, I mean I've only had them about three times in my life so I'm not pyscho!

Probably survival instincts at work.

Hey, that's normal.
I mean, most people have a dream of killing "everybody in the whole word" sometime in their life, even if it's something stupid like crying and crying until the entire world flooded.

i don't think i've ever killed anyone in my dreams. poor me. i probably have, and don't remember it. i think i remember killing a cat with my bare hands tho. so i'm not THAT unfortunate.

I have had a number of dreams where i have killed people, its kinda wierd how real it is and how i never shoot people in my dreams. i always like have to stab the hell out of them before they die. This one time i was in a war and killed like 50 people one right after the other with swords and then finally made friends with the opposing group, It was a very vivid draem because i actually started crying in my draem because of how nice these other people really were and how bad it was to kill them. when i woke up i felf really bad. hmm. :cry:

I consider myself lucky then. I almost never have dreams with guns or weapons.

I've never really killed anybody that way...
I dont think it really means that you're evil, just some way of your brain to deal with certain stuff?
I did have one dream that was cool in a weird sort of way..
Was in the car with my family, we were on a holiday so our car was totally packed with bags and food for the long drive to france, and suddenly these black vans drove around us, and they where packed with terrorists (black clothes, skimask, AK47 & rocketlaunchers) and I remember suddenly having one of those HUGE rocketlauncer things, the one that has 4 'barrels', and I defended our car, shot some vans up but another rocket did hit our car and it blew up. We all died, and went to heaven. Strangely, heaven was a big MALL.... White shiny stones etc, benches, background music, and we where driving trough it...
