How do I spawn stuff in a LD?

2 nights ago I LD'ed and tried to spawn someone. It didn't work, yet I had the ability to make the extra finger on my dream hand dissapear, and I also made my shoe materialize on my left foot later on.

Any tips for summoning humanoids?

Just visualize the humanoids and they will spawn.

I find that passive control often works much more easily than if you try to force something to happen. Especially when it comes to summoning people.

One good method is to ask a DC to point them out for you.

You can also open a door, telling yourself that the person will be on the other side.

Simply calling out their name works, too.

Example: [person] is in the kitchen because I asked them to make me a sandwich... Just expect it :)

Well here is a way that works 3 out of 4 times for me
First visualize and say "a plane will pass over me"
Then you should see a plane
Then say "The plane will land in (place's name) and (person(s) name) will come out)"
