      lonely dreams...

Lately in my dreams (lucid ones) I've been having some trouble talking to DC's.
I'm used to talking face to face with whoever I meet and I enjoy it a lot, but for the past 5-6 LDs I haven't been able to.

For some reason I can hear people in the distance. But I'm having trouble meeting them. Maybe something happened a few LD's back that made me think that I'm having trouble with DC-contact and now I'm locked in this "thought". Last week I saw a DC a few feet away but when I tried to approach him and have a conversation, he disappeared.

Anyone experienced the same thing? Any tips for braking this "bad thought"

Hmm....that sounds tricky. I haven't had it happen to me.

I'd try one of my dream control methods. Reach into your pocket and pull out a seed/pill. Eat it and think of it as a magic pill that attracts DCs. They will come to you.

I don't know if that is the best solution but its worth a shot. And it is easy.

Then ask any DCs that show up what is going on.

      Good luck, dawg.

Thanks for the tip! I've tried some control methods, mostly my "shouting"-method which I always use and with great success, except with this.
Will definitely try your method, maybe something that involves some sort of "magic" item could help... in the end I've gotta believe that it'll work.

Let you know how it goes!

Another method would be to start some conversations in waking life, and see if that carries over into the dream world.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

Our daily activities usually work their way into our dreams. Go to a crowded place and hang out. Strike up some conversations like Samael said.

this makes me think of something.
it doesnt happen a lot, it mostly happened when i was younger actually, but then my dreams were also more vivid so i am afraid i will be stuck with this when i have my first LD.
it is that when i want to do something, it won't work. like when i want to go somewhere, i walk very slow, running is impossible. things like that.
