For me, meditation is about finding a quiet within my thoughts. My mind is always active, always thinking, always questioning, always talking. It's hard for me to silence this, but on the occasions I have are some of the most peaceful moments of time. I want to be able to continue my meditation training and be able to reach this inner mental silence easily.

This morning after I woke up I decided to lay in bed and meditate for a while instead of getting up. I did some deep cloud breathing, and just tried to let my mind tune out of thoughts and into awareness of my senses. I had more success than usual, with my thoughts being very quiet and unsubstantial, allowing me to just focus on the breath, and the visualisation and movement of energy in my body. I'm going to be doing some more mind taming exercises in my DVASA workbook that I guess I'll also post here

Things have been really flat out with school in the past week and a bit and I haven't had much time to do anything but study and fell behind on my DVASA work and meditation, but I'm back on the horse today

I did a void meditation exercise of colour breathing - focusing on the leading edge of my breath (ie where you can feel the breath the most, edge of nose, throat, chest rising/falling etc). I feel that for the first time I actually hit a clear-minded state while trying to void meditate, which has been something long plaguing me in my progress with meditation, WILD and AP. I'm going to be practicing more and the next week of DVASA works with primary energy centres and hopefully I'll be able to put some interesting results here aswell

I have to admit, I laughed at those "You're a prostitute" posts, but please refrain from making off-topic posts in other people's workbooks. Thanks

Dark_Merlin, thanks for creating your meditation workbook. I've been really busy recently, or I would have replied sooner. Keep up all the good meditation, and I hope to hear some interesting results

I've been able to get much deeper into my void meditation lately, practicing regularly is really helping. I've been using a mantra on each breath of 'clear' 'empty' 'calm' and then stopping the mantra and being able to hold my mind thoughtless and simply focus on my breath or cloud breathing.

Last night though, while doing my energy work for DVASA I felt a lot of vibrations and tried to run with it - the vibrations faded eventually, and I fell asleep pretty much instantly, waking up 3 hours later at midnight, backwards on my bed with the computer on >< BUT I had a lucid straight after I went back to sleep, which is really awesome! I don't think I've had a lucid in my 2nd sleep cycle before, first time for everything

Meditation has become much easier for me lately. I am now able to clear my thoughts relatively easily - not to the extent that I'd like to but a lot more and easier than I used to be able to. Using a mantra and focussing on that really helps me maintain the state of mind without thought. I haven't done a lot of focal meditation lately, but I might have a crack at it later

Where are you Shockwave! I miss you

Bloody hell, it's been a while. I havent been meditating much lately, and I've definitely been able to tell the difference without it. I feel sluggish, low on energy and unfocused. Last night as I went to sleep I did focal meditation on my mantras, and in my dreams I had a DC walk up to me and say
      "It's not real."
      "Huh?"
      "It's not real."
I didn't become lucid - I simply blew it off as 'oh, right I'm dreaming, duh.' and then the dream soon ended, but it was certainly interesting and has been happening more often I think if I meditate more, it will happen more often

Went camping over the long weekend here in Australia - out into the middle of the bush - no internet, no traffic noise, no phone reception, no distractions. Was a good time going shooting and having a bash on the dirtbikes.

It gave me a good opportunity to meditate, sitting in front of the campfire, just trying void meditation and watching breathing, and then that night I had a lucid! I need to meditate more often, I'm still being too lazy! ><
