Had lots of vivid dreams, but didn't write anything down during the night - I thought I'd remember them. Of course I don't. Only remember fragments now. But I do remember having 2! LD's! First one started by me doing a nose plug RC. I remember being in my living room at home, thinking "yay, lucid!" and that I should look around me at the details of the dream to stabilize the it. I've been struggling with staying lucid, so I found it better to just try to stay lucid for a while rather than try to do some of my dream goals. I looked in a mirror on the wall, I could see my face and that I was still doing the nose plug RC (I kept my nose plugged for a minute or two, just so I would stay lucid). I kept looking at my face as I moved closer and backed away from the mirror several times. Soon it started getting a bit creepy, so I decided to stop and do something else. I levitated and flew slowly mid air through my living room looking at details, marveling at how realistic everything was - although I don't remember the details, only the feeling and my thoughts. I remember thinking that I was doing a good job keeping lucidity, it felt like I managed to stay in the dream for a decent time, but I don't remember much more.

LD nr 2 was a very short one, or at least I don't remember much about it. All I remember is this: I was driving my car on a high way. There were forests at both sides of the road, and as I was going down a hill (in high speed) I thought to myself "since this is just a dream I could drive off the road and fly the car over the tree tops of the forest. I immediately steered the car off the road and it flew in a sharp upwards bend over the trees. As it happened I thought to myself that perhaps next time I should do a RC first, just to make 100% sure I'm actually dreaming before driving my car off the road!

Tried a WBTB today. I woke up after about 5 hours, and lay awake for about 30 minutes. Felt like I just would not get back to sleep. I heard the traffic outside and got a bit annoyed by the noise. I sort of gave up on the WILD attempt and put on a podcast on my phone (using ear phones). It was Lucid4life podcast.

After a while I must have fallen asleep, but I was dreaming I was still in my bed trying to WILD. I got up, thinking it was hopeless, and went downstairs. It was a mix between our current home and our last home. I went into the office room and looked out the window. It was dark outside. I didn't want to go out for a cigarette after all. Somewhere around here I was thinking that this big, almost empty, office room should be furnished with the furniture we don't have room for in the living room. I went to the kitchen. On top of the fridge there was several paper/plastic bags filled with huge brussels sprouts. H. apparently had discovered that they were ripe and picked them from the garden. When I saw the brussels sprouts I immediately knew I was dreaming, I heard H. come downstairs and hurried to do a nose plug RC just in case. I knew I was going to be able to breathe, and I was! H. came around the corner, I resisted the temptation to tell him it was a dream. Instead I just kissed him and we started some sexy time. This woke me up in just a few minutes, and the Ld was over.

    H. is sitting by the computer. He's ordering a "gi" for me (a suit to use for jiu jitsu). He's ordering a purple one, and I say I didn't want a purple one, I wanted a blue one. I realize we're at the gym, and the man behind the counter says he'll arrange that I get the blue one. The gym is different, they have rebuilt the locker rooms. There's one very large hall dedicated to the men's locker room. The room is divided into sections in alphabetical order, so you have to use the area that corresponds with the first letter of your surname. I walk through the men's locker room to get to the women's area. There are only three small rooms for the women to use. I go to the door that reads T - Å, since my last name starts with T. I get a feeling something is not right and do a nose plug RC. for a second I can sort of breathe through one of my nostrils, but it suddenly clogs up, and I can no longer breathe. I decide to try another RC - just to be sure I'm not dreaming. I look a my hands, they look normal! So it's not a dream ... I look at my digital wrist watch, it says 09.21. Then I look at a digital clock on the wall, it says 13 something. I think to myself that one of them is incorrect, so I decide to look at my wrist watch again. It shows different numbers each time I look. Can it be a dream? I do the nose plug again and it works! I'm lucid! I should stabilize the dream, so I walk over to the wall and start touching it with my hands. It's uneven and feels rough to the touch. Yellow color. I touch the curtains, wondering how everything can feel so real! I look around me trying to figure out what to do. I don't remember my list of "lucid-to-do-stuff", and just climb onto a counter nearby and start looking in some baskets and cabinets searching for some food. In the process I lose lucidity, and the dream continues on and shifts to my work place.

Something about plants still left in the garden center, and something about changing some areas inside the shop. I sit talking to M.B. She has been on a mountain hike. Something about the cache registers, there's a man there. He's a comedian or a semi-famous person. He has to step out of the way when customers come, because he doesn't know how to operate the cache register. (I remember seeing two hexagon shaped "garden canter tables" with shrubs standing in my drive way at home, but don't remember where they fit in in the dreams)

Something about A.K. I've been talking to her on the phone. She seems cold and distant. There's something about Christmas trees, I've promised to get her (and some other person) a nice looking Christmas tree. I go to my car, the doors are open and there are spruce branches sticking out. I pull out the trees, and see that they are not as nice looking as I thought. Although very compact and a nice size, they are very uneven.

    05.11.15 First lucid in months!

by Chessica on 11-06-2015 at 11:31 AM
I haven't been actively trying to get lucid for almost a year, but a few days ago I started reading about lucid dreams again and started doing the nose plug RC in waking life. I had a semi-lucid dream the first night, just doing the nose plug and realizing I was dreaming, but lost lucidity almost a once. But tonight I had a real lucid!

I was standing in my mothers old house. I was in the toilet, only it didn't look like the real toilet - it was more of a public toilet with several doors/booths (that is a really strong dream sign for me). I walked out the door and closed it, but thought to myself "such a toilet would be a common occurrence in a dream, maybe I should go back in and do a RC." So I did. Went back in and did a nose plug. It worked! I could breathe! I almost could not believe it, everything felt so real. I didn't expect it to be a dream! I decided o test gravity and started jumping small jumps into he air. The ceiling was low, so I could not jump high, but I could feel a slight difference in gravity, as I didn't fall down as quickly as I expected. I went out of the toilet, and downstairs. I jumped up and flew in to the living room, staying about mid air. I saw H. sitting on the couch. I tried to remind myself it was a dream by saying it loud to myself. ", It's a dream, it's a dream" Then I remembered I should probably try to stabilize he dream. I remembered a method I'd read about where you should "make out" with the ground. Haha. So I did, I lay down on the floor and started making out with it. I could feel my lips on the wood, and felt my hands rubbing it. I started thinking how it probably wasn't a good idea to be kissing a floor (bacteria, although at the same time I realized it didn't really matter as it was only a dream), I decided the dream was stable enough and got up. I looked around me. H. was still on the couch. I got really excited, and tried remembering what I wanted to do if I got lucid. Nothing, could not remember anything. But wait, suddenly I remembered the task of the month! I should bite H, and see how he reacts! I went to him laughing, bent down and bit his shoulder. I could feel the fabric of his shirt in my mouth, but i wasn't a very hard bite. He started laughing too, and that was the only reaction I got. I thought "what else? What should I do with my lucid?" I was looking in my purse and found a large baguette with chocolate stuffing and frosting. I shared it with H, it tasted delicious! (this was not intentional, but I was still lucid) I asked H if we could go outside, thinking I wanted to do something more with my LD, and he said I could go visit the kitten in the apartment down by the river. Apparently there was a kitten in need of some food and cuddles. Obviously I thought this was a great idea, and went to the kitchen to find some cat food or tuna or something to bring. At this point the dream was taking over the plot, and I lost lucidity.

The dream continued on and I remember something about a kitten, but not much else. I remember a lot of other dream fragments from the night too, but the lucid is the vivid one, and the one I feel is important to write down. So great to have had a lucid again after not thinking about dreams for so long! I have to dust off my LD-abilities and start doing my RC's and WBTB's again.

I had another short lucid last night. I dreamt I was lying on a mattress together with some other people. They were strangers. In my dream I woke up (FA) because I had to pee. In fact I dreamt I had already started peeing. I "woke up" and hurried up from the mattress, afraid that I had peed on it. Luckily I hadn't. I did an RC, looked at my hands. I had a tiny extra finger on my middle finger. Lucid! I thought to myself I have to stabilize, and I layed down on the carpet rubbing it with my hands telling myself "I'm dreaming". It all felt very real. The dream ended not long after, and I don't remember doing anything more than rub the carpet and getting up again. Maybe except looking at my hands again. They still looked funny. I had some other dreams too, in particular one about being chased by a bear.
