    2. Yeah I've done a lot of DEILDing, at least I try to every time a lucid dream collapses so I'm actually fairly familiar with sleep paralysis
      I've even started practising Vipasanna/Zen meditation as well as 'ADA' (basically walking meditation/lucid living/plain mindfulness in my book).

      So I think I must be well on my way to reliable WILDs (I hope), again like you say it's difficult to avoid placing all your faith in techniques rather than confidence in yourself. I think I'll start posting my attempts day by day like you're doing, if nothing else it'll help me out
    3. One advice would be to pracctise DEILD. That's how I learned to distinguish different sensations that I have before entering the dreams.
      And as you may know it's easier to get back to a dream after an awakening than a WBTB.

      Meditation pracctise have also helped me be aware of awareness itself. Also called Mindfulness which is an important aspect of wilding (To be in the now) and not somewhere else.
      Just keep pracctising, but take these tips into consideration.

    5. I just read it, that was a pretty productive night I haven't managed to get lucid four times in a night yet. Interesting what you said about memory impressions, I seem to get those almost every time I fall asleep, I always seem to have some level of hypnagogic imagery. But it's good to know I'm not the only oneironaut out there who gets fairly frequent, but low awareness, lucid dreams; I've been trying really hard recently to raise my consciousness in the dream after getting lucid.

      I wonder what holds me back in WILDing, and I don't think it's technique or lack of knowledge, I don't seem to believe my ability I felt too tired to WBTB last night and fell almost immediately into unconscious sleep.
      I need to strengthen my intent for next time.

      Hmm interesting now when you say ehr write it I remember that both of my natural WILDer friends also uses that posture!!

      And yeah you really should read that book. It's were I get all of my inspiration and spiritual believes, at least I am going to find out if they are true...
      The intention is a really strong tool, just think about the all the DILD and MILD techniques and the ability to wake yourself up in the middle of the night. They all only rely on intent!

    7. I've been reading your recent DJ entries, I have to say they've been really inspirational. What's odd is that I have a friend that I introduced to lucid dreaming a few months back who took to WILDing pretty naturally, he had his first lucid dream as an accidental WILD! The interesting thing is that he's stumbled upon the same posture you're using, lying prone with his arms folded to make a rough sort of cushion. This is the same posture that Alan Worsely (the first lucid dreamer to send eye signals in a lab) uses the same position to WILD. Maybe there might be something in the posture?

      Also the thing about intent really rings true, I've been meaning to read the Art of Dreaming for a while, but after what you've said about it I think I definitely will have to; it's subtle how you have a successful WILD, no one can really tell you how to do it, there's no method, you just do, you exert your intent, and it happens.

      I'm looking forward to reading more of your attempts

      Well if you ever get frustrated remember you succeeded with it in the past! Perhaps you weren't mentally relaxed enough, WILDing isn't all about disconnecting from your body, maybe you could try some mental relaxation techniques? Or perhaps daydream until you enter the hypnagogic state.
      I look forward to hearing more (hopefully successful) attempts
    9. I didn't succeed with the WILD last night, I lay still for very long but I never come the point where I could no longer feel my body.
      I think that the problem was that I changed my sleeping posture, I am trained now to lay still for a long time, but doesn't mean that I will be relaxed.
      I am doing this every night so I will tell you when I succeed
