It's not as bad as it could have been, really. After a bit of discussion, I do get limited internet access now, but definitely not as much as I had. She believes that the internet/lucid dreaming/any other interest I have is what caused my... conversion. But I guess that's to be expected. And when you live in someone's house, you have to follow their rules. Or at least make it look like you follow them. I can talk to my friends about it IRL, I guess, but I usually just prefer to keep things to myself. I just didn't want you or any of my other online friends to think I had forgotten about you or dropped off the face of the earth. That was one of the main things that concerned me...
Oh, ouch. I hope your mom comes around. I remember when mine freaked out at me for something like that - I came home with a book about mythology related to Hell, and she immediately demanded that I burn it. Um. You don't get to talk to anyone about it? Because it sounds like you need someone to talk to IRL.
Yes, but that's not why I haven't been on. I am currently banned from the internet because of a sudden change in thought about religion that my mother doesn't agree with. In the current state of things, it appears that it'll be a long while before I can come back here. :'( I'm not even allowed to inform any of my contacts of this situation; this is the first chance I managed to get online since it happened.
