    It's OK. They're Reggae.

by meggyfayephotography on 09-08-2020 at 07:11 PM
    Dream from September 7, 2020

It was the day before my brother-in-law, Steven, was to marry his fiance, Amanda. They were having a co-ed bachelor/bachelorette party at a multi-story, adult arcade. The managers even accommodated to everyone spending the night so no one would have to drink and drive. Also, because the ceremony and reception were being held there the next day in their beautiful outdoor event area.

My parents and sisters were invited to the festivities. Steven and my sister, Lisa, have a very brief history in real life. We all went camping and they got drunk and made out. In my dream, I saw Lisa and Steven flirting nearly all night. I was so upset and disgusted by them both because I really like Amanda.

At some point during the night, Amanda was informed that someone in her family had died and she had to leave for a few hours to go to the funeral. When she came back, I notice how sad she was. I also noticed that she wasn't acting like herself in the sense that she looked like she was high. My instinct knew it was pills to help her ease her heartache. I tried to find Steven because I knew it was important for him to be there to help her, but he kept evading me.

"Steve, I really need to talk to you," I said over and over again as he continued to walk away from me laughing.

"Steve, it's really important. Come on!" I insisted, but to no avail.

He was hanging out with one of his female friends. Weaving in and out of arcade games and pinball machines. She looked familiar from waking life, but I can't put my finger on who she was.

    Finally, I yelled at him.

"Steven! Cut the shit! I need to talk to you about Amanda!" That seemed to get his attention enough to hear me out at least.

I told him that Amanda was high on pills, but he didn't believe me. While we were talking, Amanda came over to us and started hugging me tightly. She knew that I was looking out for her best interest and needed someone to console her who actually seemed to care about how she felt.

It is suddenly the next day and everyone is happy. I exit the arcade and go to the event area in the back of the building. It was such a beautiful venue. Vibrant, green, luscious grass. It was like an infinity pool, but for the grass. The back edge of the lawn just cut off to an equally green valley followed by equally green hills in the distance. The sky was bright blue with the fluffiest white clouds and the perfect amount of sun.

Some of the guests began to arrive and I noticed one group of people being loud and rowdy. One of them threw a large, empty wine bottle across the lawn followed by a lot of laughter. I tried to force them to clean up the mess.

"This is their big day and you're just going to litter and make a mess of this beautiful place?" I was so angry!

I found Amanda and told her what happened. I told her I tried, but they wouldn't clean up the mess.

"It's OK," she said. "They're reggae."

Dumbfounded, I could only assume this meant that she was fine with their lack of tidiness because people who are reggae are known to be dirty. I don't know. Then I woke up.

    It's Like Aflac

by meggyfayephotography on 09-08-2020 at 06:48 PM
    Dreams from September 3, 2020

For some reason, Curtis and I were living separately with our parents, but we were still married. He was suppose to move with me into my parents house on Silver Street, but decided it would be best if he stayed in Barnstead.

I was in a student in school. I'm not sure if it was high school or college, but I didn't want to go to my math class. This is bit of a reoccurring theme in school-related dreams. I'm enrolled in a math class, but I always skip the class because I have no desire to go to it.

I'm not sure where I was coming home from, but when I drove up to the house, there was splintered wood and debris in just our parking area from the construction crew working on the roof. I had nowhere to park so I parked in my landlord Greg's spot. It was his crew who left the mess so I didn't care if I took his parking spot. It was on-street parking anyway and he didn't own the street.

I remember wearing Curtis's green long sleeve Ponderosa shirt and really missing him. I also remember going to my bedroom at one point to change because I was hot and sweaty and I struggled to get the shirt off because it kept sticking from the sweat.

Lisa and Cassie, my sisters, were also living there and Lisa had a male friend visiting. I went into the kitchen and heard noises coming from the basement. I walked halfway down the basement stairs and peeked across the room to see a thick, green liquid flooding a ten foot section by the basement window. I went back upstairs and noticed that the back door in the kitchen was missing and covered in plastic. Greg had ordered the crew to move the back door about six feet to the left.

I had to go to the bathroom, but when I went in there, the toilet and floor around it was covered in wood shavings. There was also a golf-ball sized, drilled hole in the wall above the toilet -- the wall that was also shared with the exterior of the house. I went back into the living room and complained to Lisa, Cassie, and Lisa's friend. I went out back to knock on Greg's back door. Roxanne, his wife, answered and said that Greg wasn't home. She said she may be able to answer the question for me. I asked if the construction crew was supposed to clean up after themselves and she said no.

"It's like Aflac," she said. "We'd have to pay more for them to clean up." She walked away as she was still talking to me and I shouted thank you to her back.

I went back into the living room and they were all drinking coffee. I was sad there wasn't any for me and so I went into my room to try and call Curtis to complain. Lisa came storming after me and gave me $1.25. She was raising her voice and trying to force me to buy myself ice cream at the convenience store. I told her I was fine and didn't want ice cream or her money. She argued with me and eventually said how it's not fair that she eats healthy, but she's still getting fat like Cassie and me. I got really angry and started yelling at her. I said something along the lines of so you're upset with me for not wanting to eat ice cream because you're unhappy with your own weight. I kicked her out of my room, threw the $1.25 at her, and shut the door. I leaned on the door to make sure she couldn't come back in since I didn't have a lock on my door.

I tried to call Curtis again. We hadn't seen or spoken to each other in a week. I left a voicemail asking him to leave work early and to come pick me up. I was so upset and needed my husband. He never called back before I woke up. In my dream, it made me feel like he didn't want to be with me anymore.

    Dream fragments:

1.) Thalia came up to visit. There was no COVID. I remember driving to her Airbnb. It was dark. I think we went to a mall because I remember shopping bags.

2.) Lisa and I were extras on the set of Supernatural. It was lunchtime and we were standing in line to get food. We were giggling about how hot Dean is and then realized he was standing right behind us. I blushed and asked him if he heard what I said. Assuming he would joke and tease, he was surprisingly cold and awkward. He insisted that he didn't hear anything and nor did he care.

3.) This is from the long dream or at least it was part of that same dream setting. The construction crew replaced the front door, but they didn't put a real lock on it. There was just a sliding lock on the inside of the door. I remember thinking to myself how would my parents be able to lock the door behind them when they leave for work each morning.

Lady of the Mansion of all Mansions

by meggyfayephotography on 08-27-2020 at 04:58 PM
I remember the dream taking place in the biggest building I've ever seen. It seemed to be at least 30 stories tall and a mile wide. I cannot remember much of the dialogue, but I remember feeling rushed and a sense of comedic chaos. Like most of my dreams, I was hiding and running from people.

At one point, I was in what appeared to be a Christmas wing -- Christmas decorations and celebrations all year long. I found a dark, little room that had two small pianos/organs and a manger figurine display. The Virgin Mary was about 8-inches tall to put it into perspective. A mob of people were looking for me and I crouched down as if I were praying at the manger and hoping no one would recognize me. When the mob was gone, I looked up and saw an elderly lady sitting in a chair dressed in a nun's habit. I apologized for intruding and told her that I just wanted to pray in peace and that I hoped I didn't disturb her. She seemed pleased at my devotion although I knew it was just a lie so I could hide.

I remember running up and down stairwell after stairwell. Escalators, elevators, secret passage ways. Grandiose, dark oak staircases covered in a thick lacquered finish.

Then the dream shifted and I was suddenly married to the man who owned the house. I didn't have to run and hide anymore.

I was the lady of the mansion. Queen of the castle.

My sister, Lisa, appeared and I wanted to show her around. I asked her if she wanted to see my bedroom and I told her that my bedroom consisted of 44 rooms. Then I asked her if she wanted to see the kitchen. I no longer had to cook for myself or anyone else since my mansion was fully staffed, but as a commoner, I figured she would love to see my elaborate kitchen. We went to the basement level, which is where my kitchen apparently resided. We encountered Callie -- from Grey's Anatomy -- and I introduced my sister to one of my closest friends. Callie, for those who are unfamiliar with the show or her character, is a tall woman. My sister isn't even 5 feet tall. They were friendly toward each other, but they were joking around puffing their chests out at either other. Almost like a cock fight to see who was the better friend. In real life, my sister is one of my closest and best friends. They laughed and then I woke up.

Other dreams from the past few days:

I had another dream about being at my grandmother's house for a family gathering. One of my uncles was being a real dick and I told him so. My husband, Curtis, disapproved of my behavior and wouldn't speak to me.

I'm not sure if this was part of the same dream or a separate dream all together, but I remember walking through a neighborhood where I lived back in 2012 with my brother-in-law. We were making out and it was the weirdest kissing experience of my life. Think of trying to force the same sides of two magnets together. They repel, but you still try to force them together.

One of my other dreams consisted of Curtis wanting to divorce me for some unknown reason and I was begging him to take me back.

Overall, none of my dreams have been lucid, but I have been experiencing more vivid and lengthy dreams.

Why Does Everyone Want to Kill Me?

by meggyfayephotography on 08-20-2020 at 03:22 PM
Tuesday morning I had a dream that I was marrying my sister. Right before the ceremony, she was being super mean to me so I called off the wedding and ran away. Masked men tried to kill me and at one point I think they successfully shot me in my side. I ran back to the ceremony to warn the guests of the masked men. The men followed me. The men started firing guns at random hoping to shoot as many people as possible. A bomb went off and the ceiling collapsed onto my father. He looked unconscious. I ran to him crying and screaming. I kneel and check if he's breathing. He opens his eyes and I notice I'm covered in blood. My father isn't bloody, so the blood must have been mine. He tells me to run, but I don't leave his side. Then I wake up.

This is my dream from last night into this morning.

I'm in an unfamiliar place. Being hostile is acceptable. Pre-teen boys are rowdy and fighting. One of the boys -- let's call him Henry -- comes at me and I grab him by the shirt and pant leg and drop him sideways to the ground. Henry threatens to smash my face. "Go ahead. Do it. See what happens," I dare him. "Do it. I dare you. Do it. Do it. Do it!" Henry is so angry, but he knows that he can't hurt me because I'm much bigger than him. Instead, he smashes the face of a boy he was previously fighting with right into a table. Let's call this other boy Darrel. Darrel's head rises from the table and I can only see the back of his head. Everyone around us is gasping and begin to panic. Even Henry panics. I walk until I can Darrel's face. There's a pair of scissors sticking out from his left eye. Henry doesn't know what to do, but he grabs onto the scissors and starts opening and closing them over and over again -- cutting Darrel's eye repeatedly. I think he's dead, but he miraculously survived (less one eye). Henry runs away.

I remember waking up after this scene ended, but I must have fallen back into the same dream.

Henry is now out for revenge because the police are after him because of what he did to Darrel. I call it revenge because it was, of course, my fault that Henry did what he did to Darrel because I was taunting him. Henry is now acting like a murderous lunatic, which is a strange thing to witness in a 12-year-old boy. I am constantly trying to find new places to hide from Henry, but he keeps finding me and I run and hide to a new location. I'm scared and lock myself in a room on the second floor thinking I'll be safe until the police arrive. However, Henry is a stealthy little fu*ker and scales the outside of the building like Spider-Man and climbs in my room through the window. We fight. I barely escape. Now I trick him into thinking I'm hiding in another room on the second floor of another building. I start to sense the environment is like a co-ed campus in the middle of the wilderness for children who have been selected to become assassins. Henry scales the outside of the building and I see him climbing into the window. I take the opportunity to run and find a new place to hide -- trying to put as much distance between us as possible. There is a lot more of me running and hiding from Henry, but I don't recall the exact details. The last thing I recall from the dream before waking up is Henry finally found me again and I was able to incapacitate him and restrain him while the police made their way to arrest him.

    Strike One

by meggyfayephotography on 08-19-2020 at 03:57 PM
It's been a long few days. When I first entered the realm of DreamViews, my oldest niece, Jolie, was around six years old. She's the little girl in my signature photo. She's now 18 and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy yesterday morning after a week of labor. Needless to say, I didn't sleep much or well -- too much anticipation! To help my sister while she stays in the hospital with Jolie, I took her youngest daughter, Maycee, for a couple of nights. She's almost 9.

I do remember having dreams last night/this morning, but my recall completely poofed out of existence almost immediately. My husband, Curtis, and I live above a (shitty) restaurant and the employees love blasting their music loudest when they're closed, but still working -- prepping for the day or cleaning up at night. My irritation got the best of me and I couldn't think about anything other than how much I cannot stand the employees downstairs.

"Well, why don't you just move, Meghan," you may be thinking. We are trying and have been actively looking for a new home for a few months. COVID season makes that difficult. So does having two big dogs. My poor old puppers make it difficult because most renters here in New Hampshire don't want dogs living on their properties. Ugh! Such is life.

    So, how are you?
