Unfortunately, I only have some brief fragments from my dreams last night. I guess it is still good practice for recall though. None of these dreams were lucid. It might have had something to do with my girlfriend having a movie on tv while we fell asleep. I noticed I wasn’t able to hold my concentration well, even though I did fall asleep quickly. Would you all say that is a common symptom?

3 weeks(ND)

I remember being in a secret clubhouse-like structure, and putting my personal belongings into a safe. The safe used a key code and needed a fob-like object to open it. I remember accidentally putting my phone inside the safe with my other belongings and closing the door. When I realized what I had done, I tried to get it out. The code would work, but when I put the fob up against the door, it displayed a message saying that the safe was no longer working correctly. I don’t remember if the message said that a technician would be dispatched, or if a replacement part would arrive, but I do remember it stating that it would take 3 weeks to work. I freaked out at the prospect of not having my phone for 3 weeks, and walked outside to a party my parents were throwing at their house to complain about it to them. No one seems sympathetic about the ordeal, and the rest of the dream is forgotten. This is the second time that I’ve had a dream that occurs near my parent’s house, could this be a dream sign? Or is it a common occurrence in people’s dreams?

Secret Tree(ND)

I walked outside with my grandma to her front yard, where it was winter outside with snow on the ground. She said she had something for me, and we walked to a tree that had all the snow cleared from around it. When we approached the front of the tree, I noticed a small door carved into it, about half-way up, that had a lock built into the door itself. She used a key to open it up and gave me several items. This is where the dream turns from cryptic and cool… to just plain strange… gotta love dreams The only item I remember was a gift card for $30.00 which I took and promptly went to a sushi restaurant. I went inside and couldn’t decide what to order, but asked about a certain appetizer composed of many different items, kind of like a sampler. Only half of the items were actually sushi though, the others were strange things, like one object that resembled a hamburger patty. The chef moved the items around on the tray to show me what came with different options.





I do have a question for you all, do you think that the clearer moments of non-lucid dreams are from when we are more aware, and present the greatest opportunity for lucidity? Or are they only the moments that we recall when we wake up? If they are the former, that would explain why working on your recall helps to achieve lucidity, as you are working on awareness throughout the dream.

Wow! I had my very first lucid dream last night! It was brief, and I didn't have as much control over it as I would have liked, but I'll take this small victory for now and keep on working at it.

Three Fingered Hands (LD)

I was in a large classroom after hours with a few of my co-workers, specifically Jason, Rebecca, and another female who I can't remember. I was goofing off with Jason, I believe making paper airplanes. I remember looking down at my hands, and seeing my ring and middle finger disappear, leaving behind nothing but stubs when I would focus on them. I looked at them for awhile, not realizing I was in a dream, until it finally dawned on me. “Holy S***, I’m dreaming,” was the first thing I said as I felt the dreamworld immediately begin to fade. It started to blur at the edges, almost like a water color painting that had too much water. More like washed out. I remembered reading that rubbing your hands together was one of the best ways to get the dream stabilized, so I rubbed my three-fingered hands together, and felt this smooth, cool, electric like feeling under my skin.

The room became crisp again, and I ran up to Jason and said “Dude! You’ll never believe it, I’m actually dreaming right now and I can control it!” Surprisingly, for my first conversation with a DC, his response was pretty true to his character. “No s***,” he said, “that’s awesome.” I tried to get Rebecca’s conversation, but she was wrapped up in her conversation with the other girl and kept telling me off. could it be that I don’t remember this other girl since I didn’t interact with her at all before or after lucidity? I remember that the other two characters at this point were well known to me from the beginning, but their identities were crisper once I achieved lucidity. I picked up one of the paper airplanes and threw it, not making it very far. Jason came up to me and said, “Have you tried looking in the mirror yet?” and I thought, you know what, no I haven’t. Thanks Jason.

Looking around the room, I couldn’t find any mirrors, as two walls were covered in windows showing dark night sky outside, and another wall was covered in an oversized green chalkboard, still dirty with white chalk dust. So I walked out of the classroom, and entered a dim hallway. I saw a mirror at the far end, but ignored it as it was dark there. Instead, I entered a doorway that led into a large bathroom. Inside were two other gentleman, but I can’t remember who they were. The back of the bathroom almost seemed to turn into a large maze of a locker room, with many showers and lockers just out of sight. In retrospect, this room is something I have dreamed about before, except it has always been empty. I know it is like a maze, because even though I didn’t explore it this time, in the past I have in a non-lucid dream. I remember that there are doors further back that lead to more showers/lockers, and more doors, etc. I walked up to the mirror and looked at myself, not finding anything peculiar about my appearance is this normal? The dream started to fade yet again, and I tried to focus myself on something. Once it stabilized, I tried to let the other gentlemen in the room know what was going on, but the dream began to fade yet again, and this time I could not control it.

Hey I'm getting better at this recall thing! 2 dreams recalled last night, even if they were a little fragmented.

Cigar Gift (ND)

I found myself in some sort of banquet room, sitting at a table with my mom's cousin Mike, his daughter Rachel, one of my past clients Kevin, and a friend of his. Apparently Kevin's friend was loaded, because he gave each of us a a gift bag that had multiple little cigar "gift packs" inside of them. Inside each package there are 3 small cigars that have a wrapper that says "Cohiba," and smell absolutely delicious; like a mixture of vanilla and honey. There is also an exquisite, hand carved, wooden cigar tube, and several plastic tie bags for what I assume would be unfinished cigars. I think its important to note that I am not a cigar smoker, and am absolutely floored to find out that cohiban cigars are actual authentic cubans.

The container is also lined with white silk, and underneath that there seems to be some odd, forgotten items, like cheap tea bags and some small candies. Someone else walks up to the table, I forget who exactly but I have the feeling I know them well, and I invite them to come outside and share a cigar with me. Mike and Rachel get up to come with, and I wake up.


House Sitting (ND)

It seems as if I'm house sitting the neighbor's house two doors down from where my parents live. The house is much larger than I remember, with the entire interior changed. The only thing that seems normal is the outside view. well this would have been a perfect opportunity for a RC... oops I don't remember why I am here, but I hear a strange knock on the front door, which frightens me. I run to one of the windows to look outside and see who it is, and the house is so large that it seems if all the windows are able to face the front door. reality check #2 possibility... oops It takes me so long to get to a window, that by the time I am there, the person is gone. I walk around the house some more and look out the windows that face my parents house. These windows are open, and I can feel a nice, cool breeze coming through. I get a little chilly and look down to realize why I was so nervous to answer the door to begin with. I am completely naked.

Mystery Girl (ND)

Mystery girl drove me in her car to her apartment in what seemed like Chicago It seemed like we drove past my Grandma's house though, which is in a different state. We had trouble parking since a crowd in the small lot wouldn't move out of the way. They looked at us multiple times but did nothing, especially one woman who was in our way more than the others. Finally they moved after she beeped and we parked at the closest end of the lot, where the entrance was. Her car was the only car in the lot, and I commented that it was a bad parking lot since it was so small, but she said that it worked fine because she always gets in early enough to park near the entrance. I remember that the small lot had only one row for parking, maybe 10-12 spots, and that the other side, closest to the street, had a triangular space with yellow diagonal hash marks blocking it off.

at this point I forget much of what has happened in the dream, and fast forward to the next part. Now we are back in her apartment, and I had to leave to go somewhere, more than likely a video game store for some odd reason. She asked me to pick up a Super Nintendo game for her and I said I would as long as she gave me a kiss. She did and I left. Unfortunately, I can't remember what she looked like or what type of car she drove.

I will say that my dreams have been concerning me lately, as fairly often they will involve an encounter with a girl that I have never met in some sort of intimate encounter. The reason why I am worried, is that I currently have a girlfriend that I have been with for the past year or so. Things have been a little rough lately, and this has made other unknown women to appear in my dreams. This specific dream was of a girl that I have never seen before, but other dreams usually feature one specific re-occuring girl that I also have not yet met.
