I'm a teenager that focuses a lot on school and computers in my leisure time. I love learning new things about computers and anything science. I have an open mind about things, and I'm usually optimistic.
I knew about lucid dreams since I was in elementary school, I just didn't know what they were called. In my lifetime, I've must've had at least 10 lucid dreams. One day after waking from one of these, I decided to do additional research on it. I was so surprised to find out about the extensive scientific research done on the topic of lucid dreaming! I learned that although it can be much more common with people like me, it's a skill that can be learned. Learned to the point that you can put yourself to sleep and voluntarily have a lucid dream. It was all very exciting to me, so I did more research to find out how I could learn this skill!
I've already had 3 lucid dreams since I started my training about 2 weeks ago. So far my lucidity has only been achieved by just realizing I was dreaming, only once did I do a random reality check like I do in reality to find out I was in a dream. All three lasted about 10-30 seconds.
I've found that verbal commands to increase clarity works very well for me. Spinning has so far only maintains the dream rather than helping it not go away, but I've only been able to do this once. (The other lucid dreams involved me either forgetting to spin or having my hands tied down!)
I know that compared to others I'm progressing very fast. I'm one of those "natural" lucid dreamers. As you see that LD count go higher, you can estimate how much I've improved.
