Ahh, it sure has been a while, hasn't it? Welcome back, my friends, to Snowy's magnificent dream journal! After DV's recent... troubles, I have been inspired to start using this feature more. But anyway, here's my dream from last night!
So I found myself alone on a snowy plain, with rolling hills blanketed in white for as far as I could see. This was nice, as I love the snow (I'm not called Snowy for nothing!). Off in the distance was a mountain range, with sharp mountains and jagged peaks. I became lucid completely by accident, which I'd have to admit was pretty cool. The first thing that came to my mind was something along the lines of, "snow again, huh?", as most of my dreams lately have featured snow in some way or another, but those are tales for another time.
I began to walk around the wintery expanse, becoming increasingly aware of how cold it was. Eventually, the temperature became intolerable, and I made myself a nice fur jacket out of some nearby air. Here I almost lost lucidity and woke up, but I managed to overcome the feeling.
I wandered the plains for what felt like hours, and it was great. By far the longest lucid I've ever had! One would think that I'd lose some of my skills during my hiatus, but I guess not! How lucky of me. Eventually, I decided to let loose and have some fun. I melted the snow around my feet, and discovered that I was standing on what seemed like a frozen ocean, with ice and stationary fish extending downward for a terrifyingly long time. What I thought were hills earlier were actually frozen bulges and waves on the ocean's surface, and I began to feel an overwhelming fear of my surroundings. The fear overtook me (I have no idea where it came from), and I woke up.
Quite a good night, if I may say so myself!
Well I just got back from a week of napping and drinking in the Upper Peninsula with the Finnish side of my family. Good times! Anyway, on to dreams.
At about 2:30 AM on Wednesday, after a PBR fueled fishing outing, I finally crawled into bed and decided to try WILDing again. Naturally, I was successful ... So the dream started in a strange looking forest-ish area. It was like if a forest suddenly grew out of a field, as the ground between the trees was carpeted with gorgeously groomed grass. Everything was really bright and vivid, like I had my mental contrast level set to the max. So anyway, when I had fully taken in my surroundings, I made an attempt to climb one of the trees. This ended in failure, so I gave myself some claws and lightened up the gravity a little bit. I'm too cool for flying . When I reached the top of the tree, I noticed that nearby was a large body of water, like an ocean, but it was so shallow that I could see the "ocean floor" for what looked like miles. As I attempted to leap to an adjacent tree, I lost my balance, fell, and woke up. =_="
So today's been a hot and sleepy day, and I didn't feel like doing any actual work, so I decided to try to WILD instead (I'm such a good role model =_="). And whaddaya know! It worked!
Okay, so let's get down to business.
When the dream finally started, I found myself laying on the grass in some wide open field completely alone. There were no clouds in the sky; it was perfectly blue, like someone painted the inside of a cereal bowl aqua and used it to cover the world. The sun was warm, and I decided to lay there for a few moments before exploring the world a little bit.
After getting up and looking around, I noticed that... wait for it... THIS WAS BORING AS HELL. I was lucid for the first time this week and I was looking at grass? Get a hold of yourself, Snowy! I decided to liven up the place a little bit, and made some flowers grow around me. Moving forward, I could see a small pond in the distance, kind of like a larger-than-life rain puddle. I ran towards it, but it kept moving farther and farther away from me. Now frustrated, I just made a similar pond right next to me. I was still bored. I stepped into the puddle, and sunk down into what I assume was mud. Great, I thought, now I'm bored AND immobile! Of course, NOW my subconscious decided to spice things up.
Waist deep in mud and shocked that I couldn't think of anything better to do in a WILD, snakes.
Now I was waist deep in mud and covered in snakes. At this point, I decided to just wake up and get some work done.
