    Dream captive

by transient on 01-29-2012 at 02:45 AM
I was completely lucid, 100% aware that I was dreaming. It was weird because I had no control over the dream at all The dreamscape was dark and eerily featureless, it was controlled by an omnipotent being. I was with friends and whatever was controlling the dream was chasing us. I was unable to manipulate anything, I finally woke myself up on the 3rd try. The being had been undermining my attempts to wake myself by getting inside my thoughts, trying to convince me it wasn't a dream. When I woke up my bed was on a train moving very fast through a dense forest, I was no longer lucid. The vividity and clarity of the colors were almost overwhelming but for some reason it made me think that it was reality and not a dream. I woke up within 15 seconds.

    Intense emotions

Before bed last night I decided I would chug some apple juice, a know vividity supplement. I only remember one dream from last night but if my perception of time in the the dream was accurate it lasted about an hour. I was in the game Mass Effect 2 and we had crashed on a cold and snowy planet, I was guided by a rugged man in his late 50's. We found a crashed spaceship and decided to explore it. It was drafty in the inside, the first room we entered was large and done shaped. In the midlle of the room was a large engine. My guide said that this was an older engine model and the energy waves that it put out temporarily altered human brain waves (it was an alien vessel). He said the effects of the enigine where not harmfull at all, they were in fact enlightening. The different engine settings (I believe there were five) each brought you to a higher level of conscious existence. With each change of the motor came a new emotion along with other sensory input that can't be put into words. By the 5th cycle I was in a complete sensory overload yet I had complete inner peace. A bright light filled my field of vision and I was transported to the door of a warehouse where a gun battle was under way. I watched as the battle ensued until I woke up.
    non-lucid , memorable

I woke up early this morning and decide to try a WBTB, I didn't have a WILD but I realized I was dreaming soon after I fell asleep. I was on a bus and I began to try and stabilize the dream but tried to do so with my eyes closed (I feared that if I opened them I would wake up). It didn't wok, I woke up.

    Beach House

I remember two dreams from last night plus the emotional ghost of another one. You know when you know you had a dream and when you try and remember it you think "that was a nice dream, but I have no idea WTF it was about", Its that. The first dream I had I was with a friend of mine and we were going to his beach house with a few other people. His mom was driving for some reason. I was in the front seat and we were taking back roads. We constantly had to stop to avoid running over dogs who were all chasing squirrels. When we got there I asked his mom why she had seemed so mad at me. She said she wasn't mad, my pants were inside out and It was aggravating her. I turned my pants right-side out and she was happy. We went inside and I woke up, I was able to catch the awakening in like 2 seconds but I had already shifted my body position so the DEILD didn't work. When I woke up in the morning I remembered a fragment of another dream in which I was at a wrestling tournament. I was talking to someone and I had a small entourage. I was either consoling the person or giving them advice. My dad thought I was still sleeping when I was writing in my dream journal so he banged on the door really loud for an unnecessary amount of time (akin to a military wake up) and it ran the rest of the dream out of my head.

    Large truck

by transient on 11-19-2011 at 07:55 PM
I had dream where I was driving a large truck. It was an older model (probably 1980's) and I was having trouble controlling it. Not like "trouble turning the wheel" control but it wouldn't brake when I braked and sometimes would turn in the complete opposite direction I turned the wheel. This often led me to weaving through oncoming traffic. Not the most fun dream I've ever had. There was also something about rigging the car with a remote control but I don't know how or where that fits in.
