    The templar's guilt

by WanderingSnake on 01-26-2016 at 02:39 AM
I dreamt a while ago on the 18/12/2015, that I was a Templar or some kind of knight from a religious order it was kind of weird because he was a he and I a she though our thoughts were both intertwined as if we were one person but at the same time separate our movement is both ours and his decision but I could still somewhat think outside his thoughts as an observer of his situation and thoughts, I could also feel his emotions and view any memories he remembered whilst this was happening. anyway this guy I think was a spy or something because despite being part of the Templar order he was actually part of a pagan religion or cult currently being outlawed and removed by the Templar order hes presumably spying on.

So here's where he dream really starts, something has happened within the order that a discovery has been made bout a pagan church within the city the Templar lives in. we get scared as this church is one we know people who use it and lived in it. So we sneak through crowds of people possibly trying to make sure we have no perusres and then we enter through the roof of the church as quietly as we can into what seems like foyer area made of stone, the place empty with dim light. we slow down calm and confident no one followed us.

He peruses the walls of the place as we walk he remembers his friends from the place and father like figures of monks teaching him his religion. We move further into the church into what seems like a storage room the place is littered with religious artifacts in various states of repair. His emotions turn sour and sorrowful I see a memory hinting at him being the reason for this the artifacts are in fact being changed to the new religion to hide what they worship, magic it seems is very real in his world but is now outlawed. we move on more sad memories surface one a monk saying it is for the better that they move on to the new ways, there is an undertone of blame towards us in it though.

Finally we enter an office like room in the back full of more paintings and artifacts its more homey than the last with a fireplace and rugs of the floors to try and keep the cold out, the fireplace is unlit though so the room is darker and has a dim blue light like moonlight coming through a slatted window. It seems that we are waiting to meet someone here one of the monks who was father like to us. We look at a painting atop the fire place whilst we wait, (we really shouldn't be here he thinks we could be caught) then he sees the portrait I don't recognize it but he dose and then we are drowning in distraught, guilt and grief it has become clear that someone has died because of his actions he clutches the mantle so overwhelmed by these emotions on the verge of shedding tears. He is the reason for whats happening to his brethren He is the reason for their suffering and eventual downfall.(I don't know what he did just that something happened) He wants the monk to come fast, to console him to make this all better. his wishes aren't answered and with the weight of his guilt we cant go on the sink to the ground planking on the floor wallowing in despair.

Everything is so quit in his thoughts and air. Nothing happens for a while, then we hear rustling and think rat we hope it dosent come near as we aren't moving from the floor any time soon I worry it will chew on our hair, he dimissies the thought then we hear footsteps in the foyer we came from (it could be the monk) but now there second thoughts that it could be the order as the foot steps get closer. We are now paralyzed and stuck of the floor fear coursing through the veins his worries the order and mine the rat witch is still rustling around somewhere in the room as the footsteps grow nearer to the door we entered through. The rat now scuttles across the room and attacks savagely chewing and ripping our hair a terrible gurgling noise in the back of its throat then I awake just as the door starts to open.

I awake to 3 bizarre things that don't happen usually when I sleep, one for a brief moment I could still hear and feel the rat in my hair as if it were still there for a few moments (there was none I triple checked the room for evidence of one) two I am in a planking position facing straight up I usually sleep on my side and three I had my glasses on which I remember taking off and putting away the night before.
That has to be the weirdest dream I've had so far these holidays.
