This should probably be in a different forum, but oh well. A recent nightmare a guy put a needle into my brain through my eye.
probably seeing a dead little girl in a dark hallway with flickering lights. i havent actually seen this in a dream, but you know those images you get right as your drifting off, maybe hypnogogia. in an actual dream, probably just being chased by random people.
I once had a dream in which i was searching some kind of abandoned station for a missing child. I made my way through the dark corridors and coming to an opening saw movement. There was a small amount of light getting through, and I saw a scruffy looking man squatting down with his back to me, mumbling and fiddling with something in the corner. I had a sickening feeling run through me, i just knew without seeing it, that it was the childs body, he was pulling it apart in the darkness while mumbling to himself. It was the feeling i got that made this dream stand out though, it had a really strange, dark, macabre feel to it from the start.
Also, I used to get reoccuring nightmares as a child. Id be playing outside with friends a hundred meters or so away from my house. After a little while it would begin to get dark and a silence would descend along with a noticable change in the feel of the dream. All my friends would begin running to get home and id sprint as fast as i could towards my house. Within a few seconds of me setting off id look behind to see a huge warthog type creature frantically chasing after me, wide eyed, snarling and drooling. I always managed to get back before it caught me but the lights within my house would never work, and id sit terrified in the dark looking through the glass panels of my front door knowing it was out there.
ps. Wrong forum =P
I haven't had too many nightmares. 3 that I remember and 2 of those happened when I was a kid.
Basically all three involved me being trapped in some underground facility/cave, and someone "evil" playing sick games with me and if I won them, I'd get out.
I had a reocurring nightmare when I was about seven where a monster would chase me and freeze me once it reached me. Then one night I woke up from that nightmare into a false awakening. The monster stepped through the door and climb the ladders to my bed. I couldnīt move. To make things worse, I waked up from that FA into another for a couple of times. And for my bad luck I wasnīt even at home at the time, I was sleeping in a cottage my grandparents rented for a few days. After I actually woke up I was really scared for obvious reasons.
I think the worst nightmare for me, to date, was when I saw my entire family burning alive crying out in agony. That hurt =(
I have this giant panther-man monster who always appears in my dreams. He scares me the way no other character has ever scared me. The weird thing is, he is normally there to help me. He is just a really frightening dude for some reason.
My worst nightmare happened when I was a child. Probably 6-8 years old. I'd stepped out of my room, and turned and looked into the kitchen. There was a metal seam where the carpet turned to tile, and a dark purple and blue ooze seeped out from that seam, filling the floor until it reached my Dad, who was at the sink. Then it enveloped him and pulled him down into the floor.
Yeah, that was scary. Pretty sure it came from the purple ooze from one of the Power Ranger movies. Lol
This is the worst one I can think of:
I saw myself in a mirror with my spine sticking out the top of my head. My mother saw me looking and said there was no cure for this "disease." She said the only thing I could do would be to commit suicide (gotta love moms). So we got in our car and went out to buy a gun. The whole time I'm in great pain and in indescribable fear of death and of what's to come. When I pulled the trigger I woke up.
You can imagine my relief :cheeky:
her my scariest i was out side my house and it blow up with everyone in side then i ran with my mom then someone shot her then me then i woke up on a table in the dream with them operating on my head where i was shot then they hunted me agian
Earthquakes, I once used to have nightmares about me and my whole family being trapped in some high building cracking down.
i have a reocurring dream.. not a nightmare it just makes me sad.. I dream about coffins. I always know who is there, but the coffin reamins closed.
Not really a dream, but I had SP in which I saw a man with bumpy skin and an unnaturally wide smile as his only facial features. He was accompanied by a buzzing noise. Somehow he could see me without eyes. That killed my WILD attempt.
I rarely have any nightmares, but there was one when I was about 5 or 6. I was in a zoo, looking at pandas, and there was a tree beside me, and something had fallen out. It was a monkey's paw, then dozen more fell out of it, then more, and more. They came to get me, and pulled me into the tree by my feet. T_T ahaha.
But in a more recent one, my last judgment was laid down upon me, and I was going to hell. It was really emotional and everything, to that, I woke up breathing heavily. I think the thought of it just scared me.
Moved to general dream discussion :cheeky:
I don't usually have nightmares but when I do they seem to be less about monsters and being chased, more about strange things I can't explain or wrap my head around. Like in two different dreams there was some reality or dimensional bleed-through effect going on and there was no pattern to it, people appearing and disappearing, living people appearing as ghosts, objects from my past replacing current objects, a car I was riding in skipping through space-time. It was like a bad episode of the Twilight Zone
Then there was one dream where my friend was possessed by a demon who told me its name was Barnabas and I was trying to exorcise it while it caused a tornado of objects around us and things were smacking me in the head.. I finally got it to leave and my other friend was asking about it and I told him its name and he told me I shouldn't say it out loud. I said "That only matters for powerful entities" and just then that friend started shaking and freaking out and his eyes turned white and he said "I'll show you who's weak!" and charged at me! Another exorcism ensued along with a lot of talking smack and I ended up trapping the demon in a pot that it threw at me earlier lol. Pretty crazy dream, this is a very un-detailed telling of the events for the sake of space.
I don't think I ever had a nightmare. No clue at all why.
I had a dream paralysis a couple of times but one time it was particularly terrifying when I felt some invisible force weighting heavy on my belly area and being unable to move or scream...this kinda qualifies as worst nightmare ever...
Worst nightmares for me are the subtle psychologically jarring ones that I have no chance of getting lucid from because they're too believable. Most recent one was dealing with aftermath of my father's death, whom I wholeheartedly believed to be dead until I woke up. Made me realize what a crucial part of my life he is right now and how frakked my family would be without him.
Another one happened awhile back. Very vivid dream wherein I was on an interesting vacation and walked into a public restroom. There was a nicely dressed guy inside with a lovely smile pointing a gun at me. He shot me in the belly before I could comprehend the situation. A rush of fear flowed over me as I realized this was the end of my life and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.
Seriously, give me some terrifying monster to beat up or some other crazy situation any day of the week. It's realistic crap like the above that I can't stand.

And, my worst nightmare was a lucid nightmare. The fact I knew I should have had control, but I couldn't. The dream was overpowering my will to control it. Scared the crap out of me and made me feel helpless.
I used to have a lot of nightmares. I still have them but not as often. But there's a few that have stuck with me, the most memorable being and incredibly simple one. I used to have a recurring nightmare of falling down stairs with people i knew dressed in Victorian clothes watching me, these stopped years ago. But last year some time i had a dream, i remember seeing those set of stairs and instantly i recognized them, i remember thinking that i thought they were out of my life. Suddenly a wave of fear washed over me as i fell down them. I remember looking at my dead body for a long time at the bottom of them stairs just feeling terrified, then eventually i woke up with tears running down my face.
I think it's the fact i woke up crying more than anything that disturbs me about that, the dream it's self doesn't sound that bad.
I never really have nightmares, except the recurring dream (every few months) that my teeth are falling out or I suffer some kind of an injury. Then there was that one dream where I was raped by a midget. :P
