the same nightmare for about 20 years

Hey guys
I'm 26 and keep having the same nightmare. I'm lucid throughout it, however i still can't change it. I'm having to resort to holding my breath to leave the dream cause it freaks me out so much. This was the dream that taught me how to lucid dream, and i have it less and less as i get older, it's reoccurring about every 6 months at the moment.

ok sometimes I remember the dream that leads up to it, sometimes I don't. It always ends up in the same scenario. Me lying on my bed (though the room changes depending on where I'm living at the time). I'm staring at the ceiling unable to look away. I'm staring at my light. I can never understand what is being said. The source of the yelling seems to come from my light, the light is pulsating in time with the yelling. I feel like I'm being told off. I can never move, I can never speak. The beginning of the dream is always preceded by a low noise that seems to drag me down to this state. the noise itself freaks me out. The unintelligible yelling freaks me out. Before I had worked out how to leave the dream by holding my breath, I had to endure this state for what it seemed like 5 minutes.

Any ideas on how to control the dream? Interpretation? Anything? I'm out of ideas!
