Most terrifying false awakening

hello,i just woke up,for real,finnaly,all sweat,after the most horrible things i've ever had in my life so far.So i just went out to bed,and slept.Good so far.Im experienced with false awakenings,i'v really had dozens,where im just scared,and then wake up,or wake up again in the false awakening,but i'v managed to abuse this false awakening,and turn it into a lucid dream every time i realize im in a false awakening.So back to the subject.Had a normal dream,then randomly woke up in the real life.It was 2:00 AM , took a sip of water back of bed.Alright.Now,i went back to sleep,and in my dream,i woke up in my bed again,a false awakening,got out of bed,took a sip of water,then when i turned my back to go back to bed,i literally **** when idk what to call it,something was in front of me,a black figure,never had one in my dreams,appeared , and fell down,waking back to bed again.I got scared,then i went o take a sip of water,and you can guess,the black figure again scaring the hell out of me,woke up again,same story,but right now stuff gets real,i took advantage of that,i started to put things together,i can have a lucid dream.So the black figure scared me,i woke up again,and imediatelly started to do reality checks,but they didn't work,now,after i tried checking my fingers and breathing stuff,for about 3-4 times,i got reaaaaaaaaly really scared,i couldn't get lucid,i was here tho,i knew im trying to get lucid,but only saw 5 fingers each hand,and when tried to hold my breath,i could hold my breath.like real life,so i was aware of that,but my dream was messed up,so then the figure showed up right in my face,no face,just a black figure,laughing and telling me " there's no point in doing that,now you're in my dream,and i make the rules" then he rushed at me,and i woke up again,but again,in the dream,and again,the same figure,repeating the sentence in many differents ways that im not allowed to wake up,i tried getting lucid but looking at my fingers had no effect,that was my main RC ,that went up for the entire night,i kept waking up in the same dream,hoping,i`d wake up in the real world,i tried to stay calm,ignore the black figure,everytime,tried not to think about it,hoping it would disappear,it was right beside me when i woke in the dream,it was on my floor,it was everywhere,at some point,it got funny,and heres the problem,when it got funny,the figure laughed with me ironically, telling me "you are free now" then i woke up again,now,at that point i was just scared,frightened,it was the worst nightmare i'v had,only to realise,i woke up in the same dream again,finnaly tought i woke up,the same figure,staring at me,laughing,telling me "why aren't u laughing now".After that,i finnaly woke up due to my alarm,7:00 am,i literally have no words,that dream left me spechless,dont have the guts to tell it to anyone,perhaps right here its the best place i can tell it,pls halp,why couldnt i go lucid,what the hell was that dream,and why the hell couldn't i wake up.

Maybe it's better to wait for more experienced people who know this better, but my guess is that you were under the assumption that there is someone who has control over your dreams which is false. You are the creator of your dreamscape, and you have ultimate control over it. As for why you couldn't wake up, it could also be related to expectation. Like i said, if you get lucid again, take a moment to remind yourself that this is your dream and noone else's dream. With that simple reminder, you can easily crush annoying things like this and soon enough you'd be the one laughing.

Sorry If I'm supposed to post this in my own thread, but op described the feeling that concerns me pretty well and I thought it would be good to contrast.

I'm pretty aware of my dreaming, but when you have recurring dreams, or false awakenings, you start to wonder if you're hallucinating, which is not under your control.
The feeling OP reported, of kind of just knowing it's a dream, even it's pretty scary.. is calming. But the extra realistic nature of the ones I've been having lately, combined with the fact they start almost immediately after I've fallen asleep... is disconcerting. The last couple times it's happened, shortly after lying my head on the pillow, someone smacked me on the back of the head. I look around, without getting up, dog isn't moving or barking, and he moves and barks at everything, especially at night, and I also have a weapon nearby so... I wasn't really worried someone was actually in my room. And yes, I live alone... but I lay my head down again, and there it is, whap, not hard, just enough to be annoying. I look around again, nothing, dog doesn't seem to care, so f it, I just close my eyes and go to sleep and tell myself if that's all that's happening, I'll just ignore it. I guess if my hallucination/dream starts stabbing me in the back of the neck... I'll get a little worried. But then here it is, I wake and I go to get a drink of water, but that's not my clock... those aren't my shoes... that's not the right color of my carpet... nothing weird is happening. And I'm too tired and bored to do anything about it... so I go back to bed and lie down. Whap... goddamn, am I playing jokes on myself or what?

Then a few days later...same beginning, except poke, in the back of the neck, I roll my eyes to myself and go back to sleep... then I wake up and walk around to get some water or use the bathroom...
Then all of a sudden there's people standing in my door way, and they do not look happy, they're accusing me of something but I can't figure out what. Repeating someones name and I shouldn't have done this or that, and I demand they leave but they don't, and I said I was going to get my gun, and turned around and there's someone else in my face. They aren't bothering me yet physically, but they're annoyed with me. I'm getting my gun I say, and I'm calling the cops... they said good call em. I go to point my gun at a particularly ornery guy whose in my face, and when I took the safety off it fell apart and they laughed.

I try to use my cell phone, but I'm having trouble collecting my nerves enough to unlock it, and dial numbers and talk, and now there's like 6 of em, and they're yelling at me and distracting me. Finally something clicked and I called the cops, and apparently they showed up, and everyone went outside, and I could see commotion out side of my windows, and I was thinking the cops would at least want to talk to me at some point, but they all eventually just left.

So, I calm my nerves, and I usually can't just wake up without pretending I've gone back to sleep first... so I go back to bed, and lie down, and immediately wake back up, and get up have a look around, but this time it's day time, and I quickly notice I'm in someone elses house... it's a really nice house, nice furniture, lots of people around, this awesome view of the ocean, but at this point I knew this was a dream again, and I was really annoyed so I just started saying, just wake up... come on people, let me just wake up. They were pretty much just ignoring me... I don't really want to be here, let me just wake up, and then some teenager kids get up and start doing a stupid dance waving their arms all stupid in the air, getting all close to me and jumping around, and then all three of them suddenly warp and get right up in my face and start making googly eyes at me and I woke up. And when I woke up, I looked and saw someone sitting, floating in the air right in my site line in my dark room, ignoring me...holding its head in its hands. I did a double take and it was gone. I was actually awake at that point...

I think just like OP, it's hard to shake the feeling that someone or something that's probably just bored, is playing pranks. If it turns evil... I'll be pretty upset with my self. Hoping talking about it helps.
