I keep having this recurring non-lucid nightmare of being in an outdoor, medium sized swimming pool. I swim to the side and start to climb out only to be pulled back in from behind by a giant octopus.
I've had the exact same nightmare eight times.
Not sure why or what it might mean. Nothing more to the nightmare and nothing to say.
So I guess I'll close with WTF?

The only dream I can recall that is even remotely similar was when I was in grade school. I had a dream about being stalked by a Bengal tiger at the local public swimming pool in my TX town. The tiger chased me around the pool, and I then jumped in the pool to try to escape the marauding cat of prey. When I jumped into the pool, I noticed that the water was like jello. The tiger jumped into the water/jello stuff and came after me. I woke up when the tiger finally got to me.
I'm just glad I have never had a dream about a great white shark attacking me. That is my ULTIMATE fear scenario dream. I'd rather have tarantulas crawl all over me then have a run in with a great white.
