      Recurring Dream? Or Something Else?

Hey Guys, it's been a while since I've made a thread, but I'm back. This time I want to share with you a recurring dream that I've been experiencing for a couple of years now.

I'd say I have this dream about once every 2 weeks maybe, and I've been having it ever since I was 16. I am now 18. Really though, I'm not sure whether or not to classify this as a recurring dream or what, but the dream isn't the exact same every time; just the overall feeling of it and consistency of my environment and stuff like that. So in these dreams, I am inside of my house. It almost always starts off in my room. The dream usually starts with me waking up while in bed and sitting up. For some reason, everything in my house, the walls, any objects, the entire interior of the house has a blue glow to it. The air itself is glowing blue too; a blue fog seems to be the best way I can describe it.

Anyways, I get out of my bed and I start walking around the house and just exploring. Everything seems the same, but in every one of these dreams I always find an extra door in my house that wasn't there before. These doors are sometimes on a wall in the hallway of my house, sometimes they are in my sisters room, sometimes they are in the spare bedroom, sometimes somewhere downstairs. It always changes. Now, I'm not going to tell you exactly what happens every time, but to sum it up, I always end up going to these doors. As I do so I feel a very dark and evil vibe. I open the door and look to see what is beyond it. Every time it is the same: beyond the door seems to be an extension of my house with more hallways and more rooms and everything. I walk through the door and I start exploring this "extension" to my house. I feel like I shouldn't do it, as though my instincts or something were telling me that it was a bad idea. Every time I explore these extensions, I encounter some sort of entity/entities, ghosts, demons, whatever you want to call it. Sometimes there is just one of them, sometimes there are a few of them.

Now I wouldn't say these entities are after me really, but they seem to be trying to instill some sort of fear in me. One of my most memorable experiences of this was when I walked through one of these extra doors one time, and it led to a dark hallway. I started walking slowly down the hallway. Halfway down it, a demon pokes its head around the corner of the hallway. Seconds later it started approaching me. The best way I can describe how this demon looked is that it had dark red skin and it was literally the most ugliest, horrifying thing I have seen in my life. I literally had never seen anything like it before, and it was something that I don't think I could ever imagine up myself. I woke up from the dream moments later. I had nightmares for a few days after this of the demon.

Anyways, to close it up, I end up continuing to explore, all the while I continue to encounter entities of some sort. I don't know if they have any real agenda, but it doesn't seem like their main focus is to scare me really.

On an extra note, there was one time where I went into my sisters room(she wasn't in there, nobody but me is usually in the house) and there was an extra door where her mirror usually is. I walked to it and once again felt very dark vibes. Before I opened it, my grandma appeared to the right of me and warned me not to go inside because it was evil or dangerous or something in there. I went through anyways. That was one of the only times someone showed up to try to stop me from going through the doors.

What does this all mean? I have no idea. Is it really just a normal dream or something more? No clue. I'd like to know what you guys' thoughts are on this though. This is really the only recurring dream I've had so far in all of my short 18 years. So if you guys have any idea as to what this is or anything else, I'd like to hear it.

      Thanks,
      OneUp

The house is you, the extra doors are hidden compartments of the self that you should explore with an open mind.

Wow, your explanation brings vivid images to mind - I didn't see this till now and I feel Kadie's comment is probably an excellent way of approaching the scene. This seems like a very valuable way to explore yourself - whichever way - good luck!

I see I see, that is very reasonable. What's your take on the demons and evil vibes? I'm thinking that could be representing an evil side of me or something, but in all honesty I really don't think there's any evil inside of me. My friends and family say that I'm literally the most positive person they know and how I annoy them because of it haha.

Evil and demons could represent guilt and fear. Jmo
