i used to sleepwalk and have horrible nightmares when i was younger. my mom eventually discovered that she could "wake me" from this state if she took me outside. i always had these nights early in my sleep maybe 2 am. i usually remember one dream a night, the one i wake up from and i havent had a bad dream for years.
i was wondering if there has been any studies on the placement of nightmares in the sleep cycle. if its only possible to have bad dreams in the first few cycles of sleep.
im just curious about other people's speculation on this. i can never remember any nightmare that i had right before i woke up. i also never had more that one at night.
id like to hear other peoples experiences with this.

hiya, i must say i've never had any experience with this in the past, but i'm going to move this to the nightmares section, there might be someone there who can help you.

Hm! That's quite interesting. I dont have any experience with this, but I'm going to try and take it from a point of view like I have.

I'm pretty sure that it's possible to have nightmares when you've lost consiousness. It makes sense, right?
Your mind would remember something terrifying and alter it, enhances it, and plays it like a movie or slideshow in your visual side of your brain... much like how a dream works...

However, I'm more interested in the 'waking up from the sleep-walking by going outside' thing.
Why outside? Why not in the bathroom or in front of a fan?

Maybe think as deep as you can with this one. Maybe write down every detail you remember down to the very indescribable feelings you have when you wake up.
It could help get to the bottom of things!

I hope I helped and I hope you figure things out ASAP
