      Reoccuring Dreams

I've had a reoccurin dream since Ive been about 8 or so that keeps comin about 1s every 2-3 months. Recently Ive started noticing new things about it other than the usual (they do a slightly different action or i look up instead of only around me) but I dont seem to be able to influence the dream in other way other than just watchin it do the same as always...
Any tips on how to change / get rid of reoccurin dreams?
      Thanx

Are these lucid dreams? I've gotten rid of recurring dreams by simply going lucid, and taking control. I kept getting chased, so I stopped running and fought back.

Recurring dreams usually occur for a reason, it might be a good idea to find out why you are having them, which might make it easier to deal with them.

      Hi Passion,

I'd follow Line's advice. In order to become lucid, however, you must first train your mind in waking life that you will be dreaming whenever you see or encounter whatever "they" are. If "they" are something you sometimes see in real life, then do a reality check every time you see them. If not, imagine a scenario in your head of what you would do the next time you encounter them - keeping in mind that once you see them you'll KNOW you will be dreaming.

      good luck!

You don't tell us the theme.

Given that dreams are our unconscious processes trying to be conscious, the only way I believe these sorts of dreams will go away is if we integrate these hidden/repressed processes into our conscious awareness. So if you are dreaming of a scary monster then you need to be recognise what that scary monster is (e.g. repressed experiences of your angry father) and live with it.

I always notice that I am dreamin during the dream but never seem to be able to control it...
The theme...I guess it used to be a bit scary because its at night and there r trees everywhere and a scary lookin wolf but ive dreamt it so many times ive memorized it now hahaha
The problem in my dream is funnily enough the trees that are closing in on me, not the wolf, and I cant really think of any repressed experiences i have that sybolize that.
      Thanx for the help anyway!!!
