Recurring Nightmare needs Interpretation
Hi everyone,
So I've been having this one dream lately...
The dream starts out the exact same way. I'm in the middle of God-forsaken nowhere in the dead of night. I'm walking down a path very casually, cliffs about 30 feet to my left and right. Every time this dream occurs, I come up on a bridge across some rapids. I continue to walk, but I'm forced to stop by an unknown force (like running into an invisible wall) about 10 feet in front of the bridge. Something tries to push me towards the bridge, and as I get closer to the bridge, the path on the other side of the bridge begins to fade into nothingness, as if it's being swallowed up by a void. As the force continues to push me towards the other side of the bridge, that classical cartoon thing happens; the red, menacing eyes start to appear on the other side of the bridge, where the void is. As I get closer to the void more eyes begin to appear. At the same time, while I'm being pushed across the bridge, there are voices in the rapids below the bridge, voices I know. Voices of loved ones, crying out to me in a distressed tone, saying "No" repeatedly and simultaneously. The force behind me (pushing me towards the void), whispers quietly in my ear "Victims." as I get closer to the void. As soon as I'm about to enter the void with all the eyes looking at me, all the voices shouting "No" more intensely, and the voice behind me cackling, I wake up.
It's been, quite literally, the exact same nightmare every night for the past five nights.
Can anyone give me some insight? I can usually decipher most of my dreams but this one has me stumped. I think it's trying to tell me something. I just don't know what...
