      Women and Strength

What do you think the world would be like if women were physically stronger than men?

      Men would be repressed.

I believe we'd be living in a society with more of a hive mentality. Women can do everything, because they are stronger and they play a larger part in the process of reproduction, therefore they are more important and they'd expect to be treated as more important.

This part is already true in today's world? Ever heard of "women and children first"? Men are disposable, women aren't. They have less "rights" because they are protected. In order to be safer, a few rights were sacrificed, although now that's starting to change some. The point is, they are already recognized as and treated as more important. If women were stronger than men, I'd imagine it would just be a switching of roles. Yes, women are still the limiting factor in reproduction, but if men can't defend themselves, but are still needed to reproduce, then women would have to shelter us in order to ensure survival.

Too bad men control the world. And too bad woman aren't recognized as more important in the workforce...
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.

well look what happens when men are stronger than women:a bunch of strong males compete for that fragile damsel.
      The situation would reverse itself
"but you need womenz 4 muh baby so no competition if they are stronger ":sperm doesn't grow in trees ladies
And the instinct to have a baby is much more stronger in women, one way or another they need to have a kid so that they feel they have acomplished anything with their life

Exactly but rightfully so. Biologically, it's what they were born to do

Yes, look at all of those awesome perks women have. Obviously sexism doesn't exist, because in the movie "Titanic," they allowed only women and children on the lifeboats. Thanks for clarifying that. Just like the fact that there's a half black president, and affirmative action exists, racism is also now over. Wow, I didn't realize global society improved so quickly. This is easy. At this rate, in a year, we won't have any social issues, and all wars, and religious conflicts, and territorial battles will be over, and we will have world peace. Isn't that great?

First of all, let's get some biological common sense out of the way. Testosterone vs estrogen. Aggressive vs non-aggressive. Logical vs emotional, all respectively. Come on. Physical strength is not the only factor to be considered. If women were stronger than men, realistically, some things would be slightly different. One, the fear of rape would likely be diminished in the average woman's mind (although we must still take into account weaponry, and multi-participant rape attempts) and that would make dating and socializing a lot easier... for men. There would be significant less pressure to have to think about making a woman feel safe during a date. The biologically more sexually aggressive man would be balanced by the physical strength of the female. In nature, this would potentially be problematic, but in the midst of a civilization where social rules are observed, and thus supersede many natural instincts, this would create balance. The sexually more aggressive male would be less over-bearing to women, and there would likely be less sex crimes on the part of men- for two reasons: The first, obviously, would be that women are stronger and can defend themselves. The second, being sexually/socially (within a sexual context) forward would no longer be seen as "Creepy." (Potentially.) The "creepiness" vibe that women often get from men in western cultures is, whether subconscious or realized, more likely than not related to their socially-instilled fear of rape. This mindset would likely be greatly diminished.

Secondly, no, women would still not rule the world. We're forgetting about the fact that there are still hormones, and their impact on the genders' respective brains' cognitive functionality, and how that affects our behavior and mindset over time. I'm not a brain scientist, so I can only postulate based on what [extremely] limited study I have in the area of biology that men would still be socially more aggressive, and women would still be more passive. Testosterone instills various primal, basic instinctive levels of processing information, and reacting to surroundings and situations. One of those is that in men, there is, even if at a more dormant level, a need to control, or conquer. The other is to actively seek out a mate for reproduction (obviously.)

Men are therefore overall, linear, logical, socially aggressive, etc. Women are more emotional and passive (in general.) The very act of sexual intercourse involves the MAN placing himself inside of the female. The man gives, and the woman receives. The receiving of the man into a woman's body is the epitome of submission. Thus, a woman's biological instinct is based in submission. This fact in and of itself has a huge primal socio-psychological affect on both genders, and that is expressed in the form of GENDER ROLES. It will always exist in some form, because it is a scientific certainty. The extent to which it exists now is an intensified magnification of our more baser instincts, and it's getting to the point of becoming damaging to us a society. But rest assured, if women were physically stronger than men, unless that strength was accompanied by a different balance of hormones in each gender, in general, I think the most reasonable conclusion we can reach for an otherwise exclusively hypothetical situation is that the social power structure would not be much different than it is now. It would be different, but not by much. Socializing would be wildly different, and likely for the better, in my opinion, but in terms of politics, and the like, I will stick to the old (and historically true) understanding that the mind creates far more influence than strength.

Many men understand this concept, and therefore feel that they are justified in the continuing social oppression of women. Not only are we not making progress in this (at least in America) but we are now moving backwards. Please understand that my post refers to the science behind why women and men have biological gender roles. It's a scientific fact, and it's just the way it is. However, through the evolution of societies (pretty much globally,) men have manged to translate and amplify formerly scientifically natural gender roles into this monstrosity of oppression against women, forcing them to wear certain clothes, to be beaten and punished or killed, or in the case of western civilization, simply quietly oppressed.

The oppression is disguised, and society has made women into sexual objects, here for the enjoyment and amusement of men, and if they don't "put out" they're stuck up bitches, and if they "put out" too much, they are contaminated sluts. Rape is funny, and it's appropriate to joke about it on the internet, and create little cutsie memes about Harry Potter raping Hermoine, etc. Little on-going things which are seemingly unnoticeable to men, have a huge social impact on everyone over time. It's called being desensitized.

      Educate yourself, snoop.
