Do you belief in life after death?
Depends on what kind of life. If you're talking about a phyiscal emboddiement <- damn is that even a word? Oh well, Yah I believe that one can die and be resurrected. I also believe that the spirit can live after the physical contents of the flesh has passed on.
The kind of life I am thinking about is conscious life with feelings.
Nope im sorry buddy but I don't believe we get that when we die. Feelings wether emotional or physical, I don't believe is an entitlement for us once we pass from this world. Not saying that we can never have it again. But from what I've learned to understand is that once a person dies, then that person is no longer conscious of anything.Quote:

read the book "Life after life" by Raymond Moody and youll have an idea
Or watch Waking Life. I would love that. After you die you live on only as a dream, at least for a little while, but you can make the most of it.

Im definately going to have to get that movie. Sounds pretty good.
I would love to believe there is life after death... yet I would like to believe there is reincarnation! I can't help but think that maybe when we die we just might cease to exist. Then again death could be the greatest adventure! I want to believe a lot of things but what I believe in now is what I can touch/experience. No one knows... and what do we base our beliefs in... hope!
When I experience death I'll let you all know!!!
no life after death. :? so make it count.
I think there is something. But I don't really know for sure. When I was little I always thought that my whole life was a dream and then one day I would wake up and live it... I was an odd child.
ehh, you're not that bad compared to me. i always thought that the world was black and white until something revolutionary happened and color was gained. i also thought that we were in a big shoe case and the stars were our air holes.Quote:

it made sense at the time.
I used to run around kicking and biting people telling them I couldn't get in trouble because I was invisdable and they couldn't see me...
oh yah baby. all the way.Quote:

certainly not the way John Edward would have us believe though: lounging around and trying to communicate with him through vague references and general statements.
i think that was pretty smart coming from a child.. cause my beliefs about death is that once youre born in a physical body, your soul is asleep, and thats why youre dumb and you know nothing (as a baby)Quote:

and you learn things while youre living
once you die, your soul will wake up and everything's gonna be clear..
i dont know if u guys can understand what im saying but blah..
Maybe you will enter into a dream state that lasts for eternity!
Yes, I believe in life after death. I feel that we will keep living and learning lessons until we "Self Actualize". Once we do that, we move on spiritually, possibly in dreams or however you feel living blissfully ever after is... mine would be in the role of a gardian angel.
We have many lives.. just think.. the next time you find yourself connecting to an individual that you do not know but you have that strange feeling you know them.. just think.... that person could have been a lover.. your mother, brother, daughter or son, or a best friend in a past life.
Every wonder why you have phobias? hmmmm.. fear of heights or something weird like... I dunno... water or dogs.. maybe you died by falling from a high place, drowned or maulled by a dog...
Ever wonder why... maybe because it's all connected to the hundreds of lives you lived before.
I so believe in it.. and if you commit suicide.. I believe that the next life you live will be even harder then the one you try to escape....the lessons in life are hard and we all have to go through them.. life after life after life, until we get it right.
How will you know you are in your last life....MHO... you will be "Self Actualized" and let me tell you, not too many people die before they get there.
Blissful
I can believe anything, but I'll KNOW when I'm dead.
Ever think of what eternity might be like? I would hate that. If there is an afterlife, I hope that it is through reincarnation.
Everything you said reminds me of my best friend's mother... She writes and tells all about her past lives, and let me tell you, she is one fantastic lady with her head on very straight. Not to mention her son, whom i feel honored to have as a part of my life - it's uncanny how similar we are. Before i even knew him we had written pieces that sometimes struck the exact same words, chords and ideas...our handwriting is mistakable for each other's...our drawing styles are similar...we even look similar! It truly does illustrate Aristotle's saying "a friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies"Quote:

Anyway, it's all very credible coming from the right persons.
I don't know. I would have to say that there has to be something after death, just as there must have been something before life. Whatever there is it is the same thing. I just think it is impossible to concieve that there was no us before we were born, that we didn't feel or think andything because we didn't exist.
I beleive that there is something that comes after death, just because the thought that I would seize to be is too terrifying for me to cope with. I know it is a very egotistical thing, but I just can't imagine what it would be to not exist. Nothing but darkness...but then again we couldn't percieve or feel this darkness, so it would have to be less. But there is no less, if one can't feel or think, then what happens?
It is practically impossible to describe without contradicting myself, I can't say what would I feel, for we have established that there are no feelings, or an "I" for that matter.
Life after death? Yes indeed, death is but the beginning, or, an old start..it all depends if one escapes samsara or not, if one does so then yes, there is the next plane of existance for you to explore, to grow and evolve even further as a soul, one never stops learning.
If not then well, one shall be reincarnated to live another life here in the pshysical plane, learning the lessons from ones previous life again and evolve a tiny bit, or a big bit. Life, the eternal circle even beyond pshysical life is so endlessly long..so long one cannot imagine, and even then, even at the end, you might find yourself in a circle.. :)
I once tried to piece big bang theory, parralel universes, and God into one. Maby we go in a circle of reincarnation if we want to as souls and come back and the universe restarts and time is basicly block time until our bodies die.
What I wrote makes no fricken sense. :(
Basicly, I believe in God and Jesus but not much of the Bible. It has been changed by people.
