I'd like to think that I was a tree in a past life. Perhaps that would explain my fasination with them. I try to not take them for granted. I like to look at them as though it was my first time. If I look long enough, they lose their name. Tree soon has no meaning in my mind. I truely do see them for the first time. I'm compelled to walk up and touch them. I know what a tree feels like but every time its different. As they dance in the wind I feel drawn to them, as though they are calling me. I'm so content sitting under their shade for hours at a time. The leaves are like faces, each one different and acting on its own. They are born and die, just like us. They breath, drink and even bleed. They age with time and grow stronger by the day. Some day I hope to be as strong as them. Some day I hope to be one of them. When I die, I want a tree to be planted over my grave so my soul can move up and live within the tree forever. I want to provide the shade for the next wondering person. I would try to hold strong even in the darkest storms of our lives. I want to be a tree. |

The dream is real, my friends. The failure to realize it is the only unreality.

This is a very interesting topic. I've noticed what adidas is talking about...it's a very enlightening experience to just observe. I've always been that way, most children are, but then they lose that quality just as they lose most other childish qualities. But I've always believed that I'm very unchanged from my child-self. |

I have been to the trees. |

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
One thing I love about my home is that when we take people out to see the sights, one of the most important places we go is "the tree". They are wonderful things. I find myself imagining them as life slowly growing. So different, but so alive. |

im such a tree hugger I don't even like to use trees for christmas. you know how long it takes for a tree to grow tall enough to be a christmas tree? seems like such a waste for a decoration. it also amazes me that people actually think a tree can live without its roots, school has failed humanity. |

I always thought raking was mean. The trees spend so much time growing those leaves, not just for summer's food, but winter's insurance. The leaves are supposed to die by their mother, and nourish the sleeping tree so that it may self-regenerate. |
