The 4th Dimension

I've given the original poster's theory some thought now. And I've came to the conclusion that we are indeed experiencing the last example that he's shown us. I'm referring to the example where a four-dimensional object is manifesting itself into our world, but appears as a 3-dimensional sphere. All objects around us appear 3-dimensional, but they could really be in fact fourth or even higher dimensional objects. Which leads me to string theory. This is basically saying that the higher dimensional part of all objects are hidden to us. That would further support the theory that at least one of those hidden dimensions is the time of the object, at all other given periods of its of existence.

Hawking and Penrose has shown that if we have a higher dimensional object then it will be unstable. So if their was higherdimensional object they won't last for long, which leads me to the fact that string theory is wrong.

I think I understand your view point. But who's able to surely describe the true dynamics behind the higher dimensions? If they really do exist.

humans are so egocentric. we dont have any real evidence supporting string theory, yet our theory is "oh the other dimensions MUST be alternate universes that WE live in"

we might as well just claim the earth is the center of the universe since all these higher dimensions MUST be revolving around ours. . . . I think not.

Haha. No. All those other dimensions are as 'special' as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. We couldn't exist as we do without those other 6/7 dimensions. So really, no one is thinking egocentric: It isn't about different universes, or even different planets (zorks share the exact same dimensions as we do).

I believe in a 4th dimensions. 2d is a flat drawing on a flat surface. 3d is a realistic drawing on a flat surface. 4d is the actual object outside of a flat surface. Who said dimensions had to be inclined to drawings? I believe they apply to reality and concrete objects as well.

Not to mention the fact that the mathematical models created using 10 or 11 dimensions can accurately describe real world phenomena.

Most people hear the word dimension and assume its some alternate place that you could go to. Unfortunately you can't go there and already have them in the same sense that you can't go to "thickness".
