      Anarchists

      How is everyone?
I was just wondering, are there any other anarchists on these forums? And by anarchists I don't mean like punk kids who think anarchy is cool because they heard about it in a Sex Pistols song or anything like that. I mean REAL anarchists who are interested in talking about philosophy.

I'm not one, but I find the whole concept idiotic. People want it to be a government when it's the complete opposite. It's like calling atheism a religion. And even without the dumb kids who want to be rebels, Anarchism is flawed. We'd be going back to basic principles, killing, tribes- It wouldn't be a country or a society, but a haggle of cavemen.

People, whether they like it or not, need government to keep an ounce of control. Would you rather pay taxes, or die? I think the answer is pretty clear.

The idea of anarchy as an actual system is impossible. Remove the government and another one will fill the void; most likely one more violent and oppressive. There is a reason why only teenagers think anarchy is cool; they are the only ones naive enough to think it exists.

The great thing about anarchy is that it never lasts. It also makes no sense - how can any effort be put into technological advancement when one has to worry about not getting killed?

I am an anarchist. I believe right now in our worlds state of confusion and ignorance, that people are not ready to control themselfs. I mean fuck, anarchy will not work until our race unites as one and humankind realizes that violence against your own race is just downright retarded.

If right now, at this moment, government suddenly went away, I believe our race would destroy itself in mass chaos.

But, if our race lost the ignorance it carries with it now, I think people could exist without government. Maybe some kind of order would have to be in place, but everyone would have a say in it, and that wouldn't be a problem either because by then, hopefully most of the idiots of today would be gone or changed. I think everyone would be able to agree on what to do if they united. I think this will only happen when we discover the real secrets of life, and everyone is attuned to the collective unconscious. Only then will the religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam and the other faith-based beliefs (no offense to those of you on this forum who believe in such non-sense) loose there significance and fallowers will wake up and realize how blind they've been.

Once (if ever) humanity unites, the government system will not be needed anymore. Therefore, I consider myself an anarchist because I know government is not the way to go.

I totally agree with that. History has proven that to be true many times. Look at the Middle East for an example. You can get rid of governments, but you can't get rid of all of the gangs that are trying to be governments, at least not without making the human race extinct.

Anarchism as a theory rejects violent revoltuoon, also anarachists would never form party thus reform is impossible. So we ahve it anarchy is impossible. Without revolution or reform, how is there ever going to be change.

Plus as mentioned before anarchy is a ridiculusly far fetched idea.

I used to be an anarchist but then I realized that while an anarchist system might be able to function and remain stable, maybe even provide a better standard of living for the average individual, there are still problems that a government can solve. Negative and positive externalities are best managed by the government. Central management of the monetary system has proven effective(when not abused). People also have the ability to make bad decisions and the government has the ability to discourage those decisions.

Of course, modern liberal democracy is grossly inefficient and does much more harm than good, but that doesn't mean we should forsake all possible governments.
