i would consider myself libertarian i suppose...

basically because of the whole "fuck off it's my body" thing.

socialism is theoretically the perfect government in my humble opinion... but the only people selfless to run a socialistic government wouldn't be caught dead in politics of any sort.

      Agreed.
Not much more to be said.
Natural rights as an individual are the most important thing.

I'm a mixture of Hobbesian, liberal and utilitarian if that makes sense.

Indeed, without some form of leadership and control, people will quickly enter gangs and turn our peaceful existance into a massive civil war of global proportions. Governments are instituted to bring comfort and order, two things which humans inherently seek. Without a ruling authority everyone would try to look for something to protect them, but only find warfare.

This doesn't mean that they should have absolute control over us like totalitarians. We are independant thinkers and can be thought of as such as long as we stay within the legal limits. They can do just about anything, so there's really no need for concern. Until they break the law, but sensible people will try not to do it.

And there's got to be some kind of use to the way people do things. People who don't try to contribute are really folks who eat away at resources. I try to be helpful. Making something out of yourself really proves your worth, even if it's only for a local area.

I would say libertarian. The government has gone overboard with too many laws and regulations for stuff that doesn't need regulating in my opinion. The government needs to start governing less, or I'm going on strike. Sadly, it's speedily going in the other direction.
