      Color Questions

I was just thinking: When you look at and object, do you really see its color? I mean, its natural color. I say this because every color you look at has been affected by light, so its real color is disguised. Is there anyway to get a "real" color? (Even when you look a color palatte on the computer, your monitor's brightness settings have tampered with it's real look)

Oh yeah, and not necessarily on this topic, but when blind people are not born blind, and then go blind, do they "See" anything? Like, is it black or just a feeling like the eyes don't exist? And if they are born blind? Can you even describe the feeling?

      Re: Color Questions

Perception of colors are just neuro-signals that get transferred from your cones to your brain. So 'color' itself is defined as what you percieve, there isn't anything such as 'true color'. Color IS light, light is vision. Now I'm not saying that some form of chromatic distinction can't be drawn between objects when we don't take in color, but in reality there would be no way to find out.

We had a long topic about this a while ago. Generally we agreed on that a person that was not born blind will be able to visualize, but we disagreed on what a natually blind person would percieve.
