Well obviously the rich don't want to get poorer and the poor wouldn't mind a decent living. That's why populist sides are very successfull in poor countries.

Communism is a system of paying incompetence and ripping off success. What a disastrous idea.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

out of love to create a eutopia, where we as a race can focus on bigger things like space, time, mind ect. instead of arguing and fighting. material possesion is only a bad thing in a cultured society. with the demise of culture can come individuality and true ethics on morality.

Communism is working very well in Venezuela at the moment. At least, I think it is. I'm probably going to be flamed.

I just think its not in human nature. Human nature is greed. Capitalism is perfect for greed.

^ Socialised public services work well for a good economy however.

      May I direct you to--

      - Animal Farm?
      - 1984?

Comunism doesn't work because it is perfect theory.

Unfortunately humans are NOT autonomia and do as thy wish pretty much. Also I advise you watch ants-- Perfect examples of communism in anture. Why? Because ants have no self-preservation instincts. They all act as one and that humans cannot.

I wouldn't say humans are innately greedy. Greed carries alot of evil with it: lying, cheating and stealing just to get that extra dollar. A more appropriate word would be "competitive".

Humans are competetive by nature. In a communist society you can't really compete much. Why should I try to do better than the next guy when I'm just going to get the same thing as him? It is our competetive attitude that leads us to aspire to do great things, and it is this aspiration that leads us to advance.

If you take away the whole reason to compete, society ceases to advance.

A utopia is unattainable. It's a very unrealistic concept.

Utopia is like an asymptote. You can get acloser and closer, but you'll never touch it.

The communism in Venezuela works as long as you perceive the goal as 'keep the rich insanely rich and keep the poor insanely poor but give them enough money to survive'. They have no sustainable industry, no system for anyone who isn't already rich to better themselves, and they completely ignore the middle class. There is no benefit for anyone who is rich to give back to the community by developing industry to create jobs and bolster the economy because the government seizes all industry and so the rich just sit on their giant piles of money and don't do anything. Once their natural oil runs out they will essentially be thrown back in to the dark ages with nothing else to live off of.

Humans naturally like to feel control. When that control is taken away, they naturally resist. If the world were Communist, there would be wide spread revolts leading to Anarchy. Communism could work in certain cases, if the government suppressed knowledge and kept those likely to revolt under their thumb. The most likely case of the world reverting to a Communist form of government would be a nuclear holocaust or a similar world disaster which might unify all who oppose under the power of fear.

Since when is Venezuela "communist"? Please do cite your references.
When I'm at the pearly gates, this'll be on my videotape. Mephistopheles is just beneath, and he's reaching up to grab me. This is one for the good days, and I have it all here in red, blue, green... You are my center when I spin away, out of control on videotape. This is my way of saying goodbye because I can't do it face to face, I'm talking to you before... No matter what happens now I shouldn't be afraid because i know today has been the most perfect day I've ever seen.

No one likes Communism. Sure, poor people are all for it, until they realise that they're going to work whatever job they have for the rest of their life and never make a cent. Then, everyone hates it equally. Not to mention, everyone would have to do an equal job, which means that lower and higher jobs would not be done and society fails.

Oh, and Truth Paradox, Anarchy cannot last long at all. People like each other, and then we get Feudalism and the like.

      Cool

I guess a communist state of robots would work. But enough humans can mess anything up. We are too greedy and selfish to make something like that work.

I am sitting on a computer, demanding that others share the wealth. Look how great of an example I am for why communism works.

The good things just keep coming. If we take away violence then its utopia so id like to know whats wrong.

P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section and sorry if it seems like jiberish.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Fidel Castro started out as a revolutionist, against a dictator. Who could not handle the power. Then come eugenics. It is still very debatable to stop blind people from reproducing, so our gene pool will be cleaner. Is it morally right?
