Love is the most powerful force in the universe and can create or destroy anything.People need more love.
All you need is love. All you need is love. All you need is love, love. Love is all you need.
Not anymore than any other emotion.
Finding the right person is the love challange, lol
Great point, Seis.
Please, do tell, how it is not the most powerful emotion?
Because it is an emotion. All emotions can be felt to the same minimums and maximums.
It just affects people's lives more apparently becaused it is involved in your ultimate puprose: Reproduction with a mate.
What about the love one have for one's child, Seis?
wat
We like to call those kinds of statements exaggerations, or hyperbole. Whichever you prefer. Or possibly just uniformed opinions.
love isnt just an emotion
it is also an action, the things you do out of love. it is also a state of being, a way of thinking and engaging with the world.
there are three aspects to love.
physical, mental, and emotional. or mind body and spirit.
if you put love in a little box that it is just some emotion you are experiencing, then you can easily lose love. because if you don't also express love through your actions and first your thoughts, then you will lose it.
The same can be said with happiness and Anger and Depression, etc.
They are all just emotions.
And geuss wat? Our actions reflect our emotions.
So your post makes no sense.
Mm, not quite daily, even with the right person. Actually even in a good marriage there is often a slump after a few years, where you think "why the heck did I marry this person anyway?" But if you wait it out the high of new love and low of "seven year itch" so to speak will even out. That would be love under the surface I guess.
I agree with Seismosaur.
Granted, Love is arguably the most positive of our emotions, and it is definitely a very powerful force, but to say that it is potentially more powerful than any other emotion is to downplay the power of those other emotions.
yes all of our actions reflect our emotions, how is this an argument? that doesn't mean love is just an emotion. I make sense, you just need to make some more effort rather than just posting to make a half baked argument just for the sake of arguing.
when you make something for someone you love, as an expression of your love, it becomes an act of love. when you do something, day after day for someone in need faithfully, like a sick parent, that is an act of love. when you sacrifice yourself, via through actions or time, for someone, that is an act of love. or when you hold hands, kiss, hold each other, ect.
just because you are committing an act of love, does not mean you are also experiencing the emotional side of love - that is -the chemical reaction we have studied that makes people claim they are 'in love'. what if the hand you were holding was the hand of your child dying? is the emotion you are feeling love? or pain?
mind you, love is a very specific emotion as far as science is concerned, that does not include pain or grief. the emotion of love is very specific in science that can be described as a happy high. but we do consider grief and pain, with love. In this case, shedding tears for someone is more of an act of love, than the emotion of love *the happy high*.
the mental aspect of love is someone who is living in the moment, content, and thus acts out very passionately. its very different from the emotional side of love, which is short lived and generally leads to sex. the mental aspect can last for years and years and years, a whole lifetime. we see this with amazing characters in our history, one we all know - King.
the mental aspect of love, the mindset of love, is generally what is missing. romance generally doesn't care for the mental aspect of love, since the mental aspect will have you act loving towards anyone.
because romance can be very, "I love only one person, everyone can go screw themselves, blah blah blah" kind of selfish mindset.
Love is a powerful force for irrationality.
Actually the amount that love affects the universe is infinitesimally small. It does have a tendency to change the behaviours of some tiny little beings living on topsoil sprinkled over a huge ball of rock and iron which spins around a massive flaming ball of fire of which there are billions of billions in the universe. Hardly the most potent of the 'forces' out there..?
Love also consistently fails to conquer many of the other forces out there, like those of depression or corruption.
