dunno if this goes here, but, Colours

when i was about 9 or 10 i thought about this, and i just remembered after all this time...
we are all told from an early age what each colour we see is called, but what about colour blind people, they see other colours right? but they call them blue, although me and a colour blind person could call the same colour blue, but see different things, but know they are blue because someone has shown me thast blue, or cant they see it as that?
someone care to discuss this? maybe a colour-blind person?
I guess people are not ready for the whole new world that awaits them.

Colorblind people can't see colors in dreams (unless they saw a color before?) I don't know exactly but I'm pretty sure. Where's O'nus when you need him.

I am currently in the midst of doing research on blind people's dreaming perception, visual activity, etc. as well as color blind people.

To avoid redundancy though, I'll save it all for a thread.. should make for a pretty big one to.. I am beginning to become quite fascinated with eyeballs...

And what makes the color that I see as blue the same as the color you see as blue. What if we see different colors, but have grown up thinking they're the same. What if everyone has the same favorite color, but that color is called different things to different people.

      Who knows?

If you are totaly colorblind, everything is seen in a gray scale. The lighter colors are easy to tell from the darker ones. To try and give you an example : watch an old movie like " The wizard of oz", "gone with the wind" ect. that was filmed in b&w but convertened over to a full color film. Watch it on a b&w tv set. hue and saturation have no real meaning to the colorblind. So what they know as blue, red, or even pink, is nothing like the colors you know them to be.

also, just as an intersting fact, almost every person 100% colorblind has exceptional nightvision.
