      Brainwave Gen/Holosync Theory

Regarding headphones and listening to brainwave altering music.

Mp3 players and newer discman's have preset equilizers so you can change the sounds of music. Like Pop, Rock, Classic ect.

Wouldn't this have a great effect on the outcome of what you are listening to, as each preset has different frequency pass filters or preamp output is different.

Ill give it a go tonight on a program referred to on here called Holosync.

      Any thoughts?

      Yo

I'm heavily into binaural beats, however I would have no idea what kind of presets to use.

I once read on the website for BrainWave Generator that some people claim the volume for the beats is not important. I think that comfortably soft is best for it allows you to relax as well as hear the beats.

Did you buy a membership with Holosync? I've actually been thinking about joining, but haven't really done anything towards signing up yet and most likely won't.

      P.S.
I just found a small survey (http://www.centerpointe.com/product/survey.php) on their official site that claims they will send you a free CD if you complete it. I dunno though... what's their motive to send free stuff, and what could be bad for me if I give them my address?

Yeh never know what junk mail they might send you after that free Cd. But i agree that high volume with the music isn't necessary.

did you enjoy the demo Holosync provides?

To the people who're considering buying holosync, i'd say dont. I own the AP (prologue level) and am about to return it for the sweet, sweet $300 (money back guarantee's are fun!).

It works, there's no question about that, but its just not $300 good. And it doesn't do all it claims (at least for me, its a subjective thing) And then theres the fact that if you want to actually get the full benefit of holosync (which i'd love to do mind you) you need like $3000 to do it (aus dollars these are all in).

The AP level isn't that strong, you can get better of bwgen or Awakened Minds (best alternative to holosync that i've heard). Or even other free ones made my people on the net. By the way, holosync slanders Awakened minds, and vice versa. So they're both good, but according to the other one thier the anti-christ .

Well, all that being said, if you like spending a lot of money and dont mind a shitload of annoying junk mail - holosync's allright. Its the industry standard afterall. Awakened minds is CHEAPER (40 for the whole lot or something?) and claims to be less harsh on the brain than holosync, while still fostering long term growth (not according to holosync )

I agree, Holosync definitely works, and I agree, it is overpriced.

THE thing is over priced, as was PIRATEs of the caribbean, but people managed to get hold of it without BAYing sorry, buying it.

      Tsk, criminals, hey...

I acquired a lot of this brainwave sync "music" and I can't really notice it helping me anymore than more traditional Buddhist music and such for relaxing. Although if I listen to the the Astral Projection album all at once it does seem to work on some very very subtle level.
