As you soon as you refreshed the page your computer wouldn't show the post anymore.

Uh, this seems a very roundabout way of asking how the forum software handles requests and how stuff is stored in RAM ...

One: The site database say my post was ever there??
Two: My post be here.
Three: What if I pushed the modify button??

1. No.
2. This is the same as 1
3. The browser would send a request to the server to edit an invalid post, and it would give an error message about how the post does not exist.

How could the page be on the server before you posted the topic? Why would time traveling with a copy of the page in RAM cause the topic to exist?

I ... don't know what to say really.

Because the site database is on the server, not your computer.

Browsers use something called a cache. It's a changeable amount of space on the harddrive where the browser temporarily stores the information it gets from websites. This means all the codes on a specific page, pictures and other things. The cache is independent of the website. A good example is if your computer loads the Lounge forum page here on DreamViews. Imagine that a bot has posted a spam topic which is very likely to be deleted. Now you leave your computer, without clicking the thread. You come back 10 minutes later and you click the thread, but you just get an "invalid request" error code.

You could see the thread, because your computer was showing an image of the Lounge forum page from 10 minutes ago.

Three: You would get an error, due to the fact you are trying to modify something that doesn't exist.
