      The Contradiction of God

God is all powerful, so he can do anything.

      So...

Could God heat a burrito so hot, that even he could not eat it?

One the one hand God can do anything so he can heat the burrito so hot, as to where even he could not eat the burrito.

On the other hand God can still do anything so he could eat the burrito regardless.

Ha, I have you all now~!

I'm an atheist, so I probably agree with your conclusion. But this argument is really not good, everyone should stop using it.

God is all powerful, so he can do anything. [/b]
Not everything. E.g. An omniscient, omnipotent, unchanging God wouldn't be able to make mistakes, or destroy himself.

Even if you accept "God can do anything at all",
Yes he could make the super-hot burrito. And if he did make it, yes he wouldn't be omnipotent anymore. But just as a matter of fact, God never actually makes this burrito

You've neglected the duality. There are always two opposing burritos.

If god is all powerful he can both creat a burrito so hot he can't eat it and eat the burrito.

      How so? you might ask

Because god controls even the laws of logic and so contradictions don't apply to him, just put blind faith in him and trust us, he's the one true god.

Just because its a contradiction doesn't mean it can't be done.

How true Belisarius. If an all powerful god does in fact exist, that god would have to transcend humanity and human rationality. Or I guess the best thing I can think of is where Kierkegor says that God must stand on the other side of rationality, i.e, to believe in a one true & all powerful god, you have to make a "leap of faith" that goes against rationality.

So I guess the answer is, if you truly believe in God, then yes God can make his burrito and eat it too.

And if you don't believe in God, well to directly answer the question you'd have to acknowledge God's existence, so i guess you might answer with the good ole "God doesn't exist" routine.

This human logical, as stated, should not apply to god. God creates the universe, and the people, and the perception 'screen' to which they observe him. He can exist in his own laws of physics. Make himself everything and nothing. Possibly a true nature to god? (By the way, this is all, 'hmmm' discussion for me, nothing theistic).
