Priory of Sion

A'hoy hoy,

Before even attempting to explain the Priory of Sion - I'm curious as to the opinion of those who are aware of it and disagree with it have to say. I do this because I wish to have a civil conversation about this and I have found that those Christians and followers who already know about the Priory of Sion will have a logical point of view. *Eyes evangel with a crooked eyebrow*

If the Priory of Sion does not ring a bell perhaps one of these will:
- Holy Blood Holy Grail
- The Da Vinci Code
- Mary Magdeline
- The Order of Poor Knights of Christ and the Temple of Solomon (Knights Templar)
- The Rosslyn Church

As far as I know the Priory of Sion is a brother hood formed to protect the location of the Holy Grail from whom ever. An that they worship the Sacred Feminine, Goddess of Venus. Thier rituals involves sex an charnting to get closer to Nirvana. More involved of course im only just starting to learn about it. Im also very interested in learning about Angels.

On a side note all that ive learned so far about religons an god an good an evil is that its all a state of mind an we all have access to infinite untapped collective unconscious, not many ppl know how to get in contact with it yet. mmm all very interesting to me.

Yeah dude I'm reading the da vinci code now, but I'm not sure exactly how much is true, and that's not to say im one of those catholics that is trying to put the whole religion down... I think it is entirely credible that something like that happened. When I read the book, I got out this other book I have on DaVinci.... sure enough, there in the painting of the last supper... a woman... and another hand. There's no way that people can argue against that - Leonardo was a genius, perhaps one of the greatest that ever lived. If he can paint the Mona Lisa, I think he knows how to paint the difference between a man and a woman.

I think that it's possible something like this could be true... I have been trying to find a decent, unbiased site that seeks to claim or verify or discuss the book to any extent. Every site I have seen so far claims to be unbiased and then I find out it's some Christian site. They all claim "it was a good read, but is just fiction, that's all" and they would wouldn't they?

Then again all conspiracy theories are self-perpetuating because when people try and disprove it, others say "they're just tryig to cover it up"...

Yes, the Da Vinci code does have a controversial foundation that threatens the very basis of Christianity. This is why the book was so successful.

However, Dan Brown got his material from several other authors who have done extensive research on the Priory of Sion. The truth is, Priory of Sion is real. Jaques Sauniere is real. Almost all of the facts presented within the Da Vinci code reflect the research done by Henry Lincoln's team in "Holy Blood, Holy Grail". However, there is no proof or evidence, simply connecting logical dots. It is theorised that proof has been found but "paid off".

The proof of the Priory of Sion lays within "les dossier secrets" and the grail. It is possible that Dan Brown exaggerated some facts in order to help his fast paced plot, however, they remain quintessentially true.

The truth is, whenever this idea and theory is presented to Christians - it is immediately rebuffed and ignored. I have yet to receive an actual sound argument or any material to argue against the theory. Also, in my search through books and authors of the Priory of Sion (such as Lynn Picknett and Henry Lincoln's team), I havn't found any fact that has been proven wrong. So we have a paradox. It can't be proven true nor can it be proven false. Because logic would dictate that it is then true, we have a mass skeptical debate.

The Merovingian myth is quite interesting.

For those of you who are reading this and remain confused, I suggest reading Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code" or, better yet, Henry Lincoln's, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail."
