We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

To answer the question. For me religion isn't relevant to my life. |
|
Religion is relevant to my life. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
Religion is in no way, shape, or form a part of my life. Science on the other hand....science is everything, even simple every day things. |

I would answer if you will give me first your personal definition of religion then I can answer. |

"If I claim to know my God, or his thoughts and try to explain them, it not my God I worship but my idea of him.
So please don't ask me to explain God to you."
Nonexistent aside from a semi-rare topic of discussion with other non religious people I like to think of as my friends. |

ok |

Reason > Faith because logic and science are more reliable ground to stand on. However, with the complexity of life one must realize reason can only perceive life through mankind's narrow field of vision. Faith is an important tool to use, faith that there is something stronger than these impermanent forces that surround me and that I will find my way through whatever mess I get in. |

If I not here reading topics or discussing(not very often) "religion" then I either praying, reading my bible, or talking to fellow believers. It affect me because doing these things help me in my faith and hopefully also by doing them it help me to discuss the matter of "religion" with others believers and nonbelievers. |

Sadly, it has no bearing on my life whatsoever anymore. |

I find praying useless, even if god existed. Why ask god for something? for the most part a person is able to do it themselves, what they pray for. ALot of it are dumb reasons too..."yo god plz win me the lottery so i can be rich, ill devote myself to you then". Then there are other things like wanting people to be safe, which is not up to you, or me to change, but time will tell you. I just can't find a reason to wanna pray to a god, the whole part of growing as a person would be meaningless if you relied on praying and recieving. Sometimes you just gotta take the bad things in life. Bad expieriences, and good ones both help you become a better person, not always asking in faith hopeing it works out. |

Well said Wantless. I'm not a Christian and never was, but I always thought the thing to pray for was the strength to persevere, the compassion to understand, and the ability to love. Anyone who prays for money or gifts must have a very cheap idea of their own God. They must see him as a jolly fat man in a red suit. |
