Due to DV's wicked high Jewish population I thought this poll would be necessary to spur debate between the many different aspects of Judaism.
Question: Which version of Judaism is correct and why?
I am an Atheist Jew.
Where is that option? :/
Secular/Humanist
I was born into a Jewish family but stopped believing long ago. My immediate family only seems to half believe in it now, and we rarely celebrate the holidays. I think my aunts and uncles and their families still believe in it a bit, but for them it's more like a community thing. The Jewish Community, here in Vancouver BC at least, is basically just an exclusive club, with its own country club, activities, phone book, etc. I get the feeling they look down on non-Jewish people, and when they hear someone is Jewish, they automatically want to know them and consider them more important than other people. It's just cliquey and I don't see reason behind it.
im not jewish :/
there should be an option for that
That's the "Don't post on this thread then" option I believe.
Solarbot learn !Don't post on this thread
whats a solarbot Darkmatters  :bliss:
We're all Jews on the inside.
A Roxxor you're a secular jew if you're a plain old jew.
(And I told you that you were jewish.)
I voted randomly
i am a random Jew.
Buah ha ha ha ha
I voted Secular/Humanist. I guess that's right. I am Athiest on a bad day. Frankly, I don't like to be roped into a label. I don't know the answer, and I like not knowing. Even religious fanatics don't know. They have faith. I don't have faith; I simply don't know. So, I probably liked conflicting posts above, but I really do like them. :P
You could also add Rabbinic and Kabbalist as poll options. Though Kabbalah is not a denomination in itself there are perhaps some jews that would say that they are solely Kabbalists.
I dunno man I was going with wikipedia's classification. Besides the Kabbala is total blasphemy and you're going to jew hell.
Not me, I turned my back on organised religion when I was fourteen years old. One of the best decisions I ever made. I did later on life study the background of the great world religions just to see what they were about. Also not to be confused with the Qabalah which has been an integral part of my study and practice in magick.
So you're saying you've seen God's Light and turned your back on it?
That makes you worse than a baby raping serial killer.
It's cool though, after your dead I'll get some naive 13 year old to baptize you and you'll be fine. (Got to love the Mormons, right?)
I wasn't saying that at all. However, I have seen the light with my inner vision, a temporary opening of the third eye. It is more brilliant than can be imagined. To put this into context with mere words consider how bright a welding arc is, and then amplify its brightness millions of times. I turned my back on organised religion because it is restrictive.
Non-Jewish Jew.
