Live to Die, Die to live

      "God" is not the label

"God" is the Essence behind all the applicable labels

This Essence is as the water in and of the ocean

God is Self without an other

Seeing without differentiating, without judging this from that

Like a motionless body of water with no waves on its surface

The individual person, being, is self

Like waves rising on the oceans surface

The self arises from the Self

Worn like a cloak, like a pair of glasses

Lenses to see through, to distinguish and differentiate

Clothing that hides ones true nature

Without Self, there would be no self, and therefore no other

To Self, every other is also Self

Seeing through different "lenses", wearing different "clothing"

Being mere appearances, every self is just a reflection of the one Self

A view from a different vantage point, an experience arising

Belief and doubt, imprisonment and freedom, freedom and imprisonment

Such depends on whether one is coming or going, arising or falling

Though ever so subtle it is, this inherent power is not to be discounted

      Such drives all in motion

The Self is like a child seeking to play

The self is like a beloved toy that a child plays with

Without the child the toy has no life

Without the toy the child cannnot play

Of what use are either Child or toy without the playing?

Between the Self and the self, there is another

Such is a quality that arises between the two

Not wholly immaterial nor wholly material, posessing qualities of both

Like a bridge reaching from both shores seeking connection in the center

Without the bridge of what use are the distant shores to one another?

Self and self dwell one in the same

Both in the moment, both now

      Interwoven, overlapped

Belief and doubt is all there is, so difficult to see yet so simple

      Perception is all there is

Surrender of one to the other is necesary for the third to be realized

      That quality between the two

      For self, death is inevitable

Surrender is continuance, though it is also death

      There is no other way

      So there is the choice

      Live and be dead, or

      Die and be alive

      Either way

      Be

      Falling inward, yet moving outward

Such is the death self must endure

Relinquishing that tendancy for self reflection

That incessant need to know one exists

      That latent thought, "i am"

Of what use is "i" , "me", and "mine"

There is no true division, only distinction

Shimmering ripples on the surface of the water

      i feel The Presence

      Vishnu rising within

i turn as to meet Self, face that which self cannot face

i must surrender to , die to , fold back into

      Terror, grasping

      Fear, rising

      Anxiety, building

Egos trumpets screaming in this mind

      Clawing, weeping, teeth gnashing

Cant let go, hold on, keep firm the grip

Damn this beast, die now, suffer no more

Drown in the depths and see such never was

That which is born and dies , never truly lives

Pleasure, suffering, duality, all part of a play unfolding

To hold onto, to grasp at, all vanity

      Water rising in the well

      Vishnu calling, coming, rising

Here now, at the threshold, waiting

      Push me, i hesitate

Leave all manner of religions, simply surrender to Me

Fall into My love, let go dearest child, safe you will be

You must trust Me with your whole heart, let go of the mind, its thoughts

In that moment find peace, relax your grip, let go and fall into My very heart

      I am patient

When the time is right, you will know

      I will be waiting

      Always here

      Always now

This kind of goes along with Howies experiment talked of in the research section. I am simply letting arise to words what comes from within upon a cleared, empty mind. Subtly invoking a latent thought for initial movement and direction. From there the words simply arise without any contemplative thought or correction.
Since this is religion/sprituality based I placed it here, though I completely yelid to the moderators to move it wherever deemed best suited. All comments are welcome, though any responses will be made in format similar to that of above and below.

      Atheist, theist

War made, one upon the other

Neither knowing of what they argue

      Neither seeing inward

      The blind fighting the blind

Dealing with externals, lost to the mind

Let rise , that which dwells within

      Without seeking, nor finding

      What is, is already

Much substance there is here now for those who see

For those who do not, jibberish, nonsense

It's the wrong type of expression for this forum. End of story. You can see from the replies that nobody wants to dig through this shit.

I think it was posted here, as to be looked at for it's spiritualistic meaning, moreso than it's poetic beauty.
Howie has a similar thread, placed in the research forum, as it is more a research to him than expression.
I placed a similar thread in Artist's Corner, as I wished it to be viewed by those that have an appreciation for art and literature and may be able to grasp some of the complexities that are mentioned.

NonDualistic, were you hoping for others to post here? I guess being an open Forum it would be hard not to. Originally I was going to begin my abstract journal as a dream journal with no other replies. I found the replies were interesting and helpful.

Where is your thread in The Artist's Corner ClouD?
I like to see this idea spawn into other areas. As it is creative with any application it can take on an entire different form, I.E. dreams, religion, politics, art, etc.

Here is the link: Violent Expression.
I watch what thoughts and feelings arise from within me, during any activity.
I write keywords down and express myself in a notepad I usaully carry.
When I get on to DV, I play with the words and create perspectives to see it from in the form of poetic paragraphs.

i am not hoping for anything really. All are welcome to make comments and ask questions if anyone so wishes. i am learning to let go, and seeing things i had not seen before. This is an open learning and realization process going on within me here and now. What is written here, is what arises in the form of words. Perhaps others will look inside themselves and see something new from reading some little tid bit here.
Cloud has voiced ,to the point, why it is in this forum.

      Howie,

i am making some very interesting observations that i will explain back in your Abstract journal post. It may be a few more days for it to come together so it can be written, but you may find it interesting.

I too am taking a stance of an observer. It is very interesting and sometimes
words can only muddle up the process.

A chapter from Osho, I stumbled across today.
To religion love is the highest knowledge. That is why religion is expressed more in poetic terms than in scientific ones. Scientific terms cannot be used, they belong to the realm of knowing. Poetry can be used. And those who have come to know reality through love, whatsoever they say becomes poetry. The Upanishads, the Vedas, the sayings of Jesus or Buddha or Krishna, they are all poetic statements.

It is not just a coincidence that all the old religious scriptures are written in poetry. It has a significance. It shows that there is some affinity between the world of a poet and the world of a mystic. The mystic is also using the language of the heart.

The poet is only a mystic in certain moments of flight, just as when you jump you can go away from the gravitation of the earth, but you again come back to it. A poet means a person who has been for some seconds on a flight into the world of the mystics. He has had some glimpses. A mystic is one who has gone beyond gravitation completely, who lives in the world of love, who lives through the heart. This has become his very abode. For the poetic person it is just a glimpse: sometimes he falls down from the head to the heart. But this is just for the time being -- again he goes back to the head.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      I feel its breath

      The beat of its heart

I know its mind, its thoughts

Feel its loves, hates, joys, sufferings

Moving by , like scenery through the window of a moving train

Found then lost, lost then found

      Moments drift to and fro

      Me? Mine?, the questioning rises

      Briefer than brief, look quickly

      There is no time

      Be still, nothing awaits

      The crevasse, eternity

      I see it

      There is nothing to see

      Emptiness

      Knowledge

      Nothing to know

      Tears streaming down these cheeks

      Hold well, grasp not

With an open hand you hold the world

Fires rise, racing, lifting within the skull

      Moments, only moments

Not poetic enough to be art, didn't make enough sense to be science. 1/10

Mind, island on the far side

      Drifting, movement

      A wondorous sight

      Like waters of the deep

Waves upon its surface, shimmering, moving

      Reaching outward, pulling inward

      Tranquility surrounds it
