Define God
This thread is welcome to monotheist, atheist, pantheist, or any other kind of -theist out there.
If you believe in God, what is your definition of what God is? Do you believe God is an actual omnipotent entity controlling all of human existence? Is God a state of mind? Is God a transcendent state of being indescribable in human terms? Why do you believe this exists?
Atheists and Agnostics, what is your definition of God? Do you simply negate the existence of an all-powerful entity controlling the universe, or all definitions of God?

God is the sum total of all the laws, and all the energies governed by these laws, which make up the whole of the manifested and unmanifested universes.

There is "GOD", and there are "GODS"
By "GOD", I am referring to a christian type of god, which must satisfy these requirements:
-Conscious
-Omnipotent
-Omniscient
-Omnipresent
-Creator of all things
By "Gods", I'm referring to powerful entities more like the greek gods than the christian god... Not nessecarily all-powerful and the creators of all things.
I would define them as "An conscious entity that bears supernatural powers and supernatural knowledge, and does not have 'natural' causes to die from".
I do speculate on the existence of gods in the universe. Entities like the "Q Continuum", or an electronic cloud that has somehow developed consciousness and uses its cosmic influence to control a neighboring solar system... Stuff like that. The difference between these gods and God is that they are not responsible for the creation of the universe, and they are not OMNIPOTENT or OMNIPRESENT

I define a god as a self organising system that responds to stimili and that produces an output thats greater then the sum of its parts. In this case a humans, bacteria or plants could be described as gods. However what I use the term for more commonly are such systems that go beyond the biological defination of an organism. Examples of "deities" would be economies, industries and political ideologies.
God is defined as the sum total of all of these self organising systems which itself makes a giant self organising system thats continually growing and evolving.
I'm absolutly sure about the existence of the former but the latter is a different story...

to me god is just another word we use to try to explain that which can not be explained, that which is beyond our grasp. it is only natural for the mind to try to explain the unexplainable. to create questions then seek answers to those questions.

God is any roughly spherical object of grey or brownish hue and a diameter of strictly less than 1 foot.
There are many Gods in the universe and I have physical evidence.

Based on this: I can define a God that I'd accept, but I can also define a God that I'd reject. I can't make sense of being able to redefine God as we wish.
I know the universe is governed by strict physical laws and that everything is in a state of change/movement, I'd even go as far as to suggest a sort of sub-nuclea interconnectedness, but I wouldn't suggest this change or web is thus God itself.
From what I observe, you shouldn't just be able to throw the word God around otherwise it loses all power and definition. And then God just becomes a word one places on the unexplained. From my view then, God cannot be defined outside of its religious context.
