Thread: Most Dangerous Extremist Movement?

I picked nation-states, being the one on the list that have the power to take the wind out of the sails of all the others... the others being some distorted semblance of community-based operations (for the most part), mostly reacting to the inevitable oversights of the nation-state system.

Nation-States.

I picked nations states as well. The government is so far out of touch with the common people today, that there is no telling what they will do. Everyone wants a balanced budget but they keep spending. I never met anyone who wasn't disgusted with the idea of the government assassinating US citizens without trial, yet the government says they have every right to do it. They keep trying to pass those internet bills that like everyone who uses the internet hates. People protest them and they fail to pass then they switch the name and try to pass it again a week later. They are totally out of touch with reality, and that is kind of scary.

Nation-states as well. No idea why the Occupy movement is on there.

One of the only arguments I could see against Nation-States is the underlying assumption that they are somehow more rational actors in the international dynamic.

According to this study, you are 8 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than you are to be killed by a terrorist. Extreme Islam isn't really a threat to anyone.

I put Occupy on there to provide balance... also just to see if anyone is as crazy as Bill O'Reilly and others that call the Occupy Movement more dangerous than Radical Islam.

And I believe if you've ever met someone in the military in police force, you would understand why Nation States could be considered an extremist mob.
