Is it possible that prayer is just a way to manifest our desires?

Almost everyone knows how the law of attraction works...

You think about shit and said shit happens.

I've heard of a lot of people praying, over and over for something. I remember my cello teacher told me that when she was younger she and her mother prayed hard for a cello, and someone sold them a very expensive one for a cheap price.

If God exists, he's probably a busy guy. Maybe he gave everyone an equal chance to grant their own desires.

Or maybe he doesn't exist and almost every single answered prayer is the result of manifestation.

Anyway, it was just a thought.

I think prayers and "spells" are all the same thing. You ask for something and if you beleve in it, it has more chance of happening. It's like placing a placebo on yourself. Let us say that you ask for a girlfriend, if u beleve in your prayer, it's only natural that you will be more confident about your goal because you think some higher power will help you out. And if you beleve in yourself, you have more chance of getting there.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

More success has come from saying "God will heal this person" than saying "Pwease mistah God heal this person" so yeah probably.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Absolutely. I read of a study in psychology class a while back that supports this. The studied found that if someone is suffering from a common cold (or something similar) and either prayed for healing or had others praying for their healing and believed it worked, they were more likely to get better. However, there was a limit to this, as someone suffering from something more serious and not as easily treatable like schizophrenia would not get better.

If there was a God healing those who prayed for it, he should be able to heal schizophrenia as easily as a cold. If the healing was coming directly from the person praying, it makes sense that they would be able to will themselves better from a cold, but not schizophrenia.

The law of attraction doesn't exist. The placebo effect does.

      Such conviction.
