Hi everyone, first post here! |

I too am spiritual but not religious. |

" I couldn't stand her at first, But then I loved her so bad It Hurt "
Is God or entering the afterlife often described as light because that is the feeling natural light gives us, or is natural light appealing because of the underlying spiritual association? |

Early man was likely living for the Sun, we created fire to keep us warm.. light conquers the dark every morning.. Of course we like lights. |

This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.
Light comes from various sources of energy (often heat) which allows for our existence. Without a sun, we'd not exist. Without warmth and visible light to find our way around the planet, we wouldn't exist. Darkness leaves us without sight, a sense that we rely on heavily, rendering us very very vulnerable (Think instead "why do we hate the absence of light" rather than "why do we cherish light"?) |
