      The third eye?

I don't know where this would go, I am recently interested in the pineal gland because I'm remembering the times as a kid when I'd see orbs of light every one in awhile at night. I've been doing research about the third eye and I really want to open it and be able to tune into spiritual or any type of motions you can't see with it closed. If you have managed to open your third eye, how'd you do it?? Is it mandatory to stop eating certain foods?

Meditating on this Mandala will help exercise your third eye.

Cool topic, a favorite of mine. Good luck in your research. In my opinion the third eye and pineal gland are two very different things, though perhaps not, who knows. I'd like to think the pineal gland is the scientific version of the third eye. Everything is perception and the third eye if achieved or opened is up to the individual. As far as I know I've yet to meet such an person that has done so or could prove it. It'd be odd to me if you have to stop eating a certain food for it. Looking forward to some more replies here.

I've heard that meditation is a big help concerning the third eye and/or pineal gland. Also heard that certain isochronic tones can aid in opening/activation of it. Might wanna give that some research.

I probably sound stupid but I still don't really understand meditation, I always have thought you just lay down for 30 minutes doing nothing but relax? Like what exactly do you do for meditation?

Well, what I do specifically is:
      1. Find a comfy spot to sit down or lay down
      2. Clear my mind of everything but a mantra
      3. Keep it that way and ignore all other thoughts that arise other than my mantra
      4. Dont fall asleep

That's just how I do it, but from what I understand there are countless ways.

That's not a stupid question. When my friend recently asked the same question, I realized that that is kind of the point of meditation. Monks will meditate every day for their lifetime, attempting to reach Nirvana or whatever. The thing is, if they were meditating correctly then they'd reach Nirvana immediately. (That was a rather crude example of meditation/monks/nirvana, but I think my logic is valid). Another thing I like to say is that Meditation is like going to the Gym but for your Mind or Spirit. We go to the Gym to get fit/strong; it's the same for Meditation, it increases focus/concentration/raises your awareness.

The most basic of meditations is probably watching your breath while sitting/laying comfortably. This often has the effect of calming your thoughts and can begin to make you have less thoughts, when the silence between thoughts begins to grow. By meditating on that mandala I simply meant taking 10-15 minutes a day to stare at the center of the image. Some meditations include staring at an object or image and maintaining attention on that, (could be a candle flame, a feather, or whatever you want really).

The simple answer is meditation is what you make it, (unless you follow some religion or spiritual guru which requires some form of strict guidelines on what they define as meditation).

Thanks I'll try those!! Btw, if anyone knows what this is, I found a binural chakra sound on YouTube and listened to it (5 mins) While listening to this with my eyes shut, I had a false affirmination that I was wearing glasses and then I realized I wasn't. For about 3 minutes I felt the slight presence of the feeling of glasses on the sidewall(s) and radix of my nose and partly on the inner edges of my eyebrows; the feeling was kinda 3d like there was light pressure but it felt like it was also hovering over the area. It was odd

Concept of third eye & its relevance in Vedic Jyotish | Bhrigushree

Ime, you can meditate upon the brow area and tune into what you feel.
      - Do nothing -
What you feel can change with the pattern of ur behavior. This is not the meditation but the practice of opening the third eye imo. For example, what you eat might have an effect on what you feel, how much sleep you get, sunlight, coffee etc.
Eventually you might see things like orbs, right. Think of the patterns that got you to seeing orbs and mimic them or improve on it and work out methods.

      .
I think you can see things. Ime, Events outside ur room. People. You can also receive symbolic messages of what is happening. You can see a friend who is in a really bad situation and in a vision receive this message. Always sort of symbolic but they can feel very real. As they are happening to you. It's like a sort of posession.
You can see how situations may unfold as well. I've never seen orbs so I can't say much on that.

Also, energy, social energy. Symbolised by lines and connections to me. I've seen something come from a friend and go into my body. And two days later it was still there and it feels very physical. The seeing becomes a feeling. So there might also be an audible, olfactory, taste sensation involved. Perhaps this is something else I don't know..

      Good luck yo!
