      NDE experiences through dreams

I had a dream September 14, 2011 that changed the way I perceived reality. I call it the "clear light dream." I have posted it on the forum years ago it’s called Enlightening Dream. It was the experience of perceiving from the perspective of light. Light is clarity, clarity is truth, truth is Love. The light in the dream was the same light people claim to see when they die.
I enjoy listening to NDE’s because I have experienced what people come back to talk about. The experience seems to be the same but I did not have to come close to death to experience it. However shortly before this dream I was meditating holding my breath thinking of what it must feel like to die. To not be able to take the next breath. It felt like a very thin line that was connecting me to my physical body.
I would like to connect with others who have experienced this.

Welcome back, Lidybug! It was a nice feeling to see your name appear on the forum!

I'm not sure my experience is what you're looking for, but I did die a few times in dreams over the years -- okay; many times, but there were a few where I didn't immediately wake myself up right away, and the dying wasn't of my own lucid doing.

Though the circumstances were different each time, I had about the same sensations: My world/dream collapsed immediately around me, sort of into me (I guess you had to be there for that) followed by a bodyless, timeless, moment in a lightly swirling gray fog where I felt very peaceful, but not much else. Then the fog would silently woosh away and I would find myself in a "powerful" nothingness, still feeling pretty good, but beginning to feel kind of anxious in anticipation of what might come next. Also, my thoughts throughout were wordless.

Up until the nothingness part, the sensations were very similar to what I've experienced during Delta sleep LD's. The nothingness part, though, wasn't really the oft-discussed "void," which I've experienced many times, but more like I was in an actual place, waiting for something like a door to open (still with no body, BTW). It was truly unique, in my experience, though I did -- years after having these dreams -- come across very similar descriptions of the nothingness in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, when the "place" between one life and the next was described. Coincidence? Sure... but still pretty cool.

So, no bright lights, long tunnels, or dead family members (though I have had many dreams with NDE themes, there was no death in the dreams' themes), and these really were "you had to be there moments" that sort of fall flat in the telling, but I figured it would still not hurt to share.

That pretty much sums it up my experience in my early days, thanks Sageous^^

The nothingness part, though, was really the often discussed swirling "void," which I've experienced many times.
In my today's experiences I cannot die anymore, sure my dreambody is still getting hurt and dying, but when that happen, my consciousness is getting out in free float form, instead of Dream falling apart, which is very blissful btw(like an actual OBE experience), I'm floating around like a spirit and have the ability to possess any dream character on the scene, I wonder if I will actually have that ability when become a true spirit. This mostly happening when I'm battling Astral invaders into my Subspace, the battles are always so melodramatic and breath taking.

      Michael79,
Fascinating. Do you “die” often in your dreams? Is this battle with the astral invaders something you enjoy doing?
Have you tried. To inhabit the body of something other then human or even mammal?

Thank God, I'm not. I die only when encounter powerful beings which are hard to banish. Only sometimes I die on purpose to see what will gonna happen, most often when I see a Lava pit I make a free fall into it, my dream body is dissolving and I'm starting to see bright light and experience vibrations. It's like I'm floating and then wake up after a while.

Frankly I'm not fond of any battles, I'm only reaching to a battle if I'm being challenged and there is not another way. There are just too many beings who love to mess with my Subspace, but I must say when that happens I become like a different person, very experienced in battle with cold judgment, always ready to sacrifice everything for End result. It's like my Ego from IRL is fading away and something else took over, which has no emotions. BTW I also believe in past lives, I think not only in my past live, but even the lives before that, maybe I had always been a warrior, but more like a guardian than attacker. When I'm in this Ego-less form I love to fight with powerful beings (which can have equal or stronger control over my Subspace) and I will gladly sacrifice a limb or two for that purpose and btw I found pain equally strong as the real world.

Sometimes I have free floating dreams in which I have freedom to choose from many dream characters to enter in. The sensation is very strange the moment I enter through their heads and I'm them, then I choose to leave and I'm out. Last time I enter in a young man, a old granny(btw I felt really old and my voice changed too), a boy( the world just became bigger). When in no-body form I easily can travel through walls. Not every time I'm certain that I'm in my own Subspace or on other dreamer Subspace. Maybe I'm somehow invading other people dreams through shared dreaming. When I'm in Astral I can possess other beings too, which are not always humanoids, just my energy must be higher than their.

Btw the last week was my first transformation, I transform myself in T-rex and eat another dino which was chasing me before that.(it has the taste of a chicken )Maybe next time when I have a chance I will try to possess a animal, a cat will be good
